📋 Description
- • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material analysis from construction drawings and specifications for commercial projects across the United States.
- • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for bid submissions in retail, restaurant, office, medical, hospitality, and tenant improvement sectors.
- • Review, analyze, and prequalify subcontractor bids to ensure complete trade coverage and pricing competitiveness.
- • Coordinate directly with subcontractors and sub-trade partners to obtain timely, accurate, and up-to-date pricing for all trade scopes.
- • Support the full bid preparation and submission process, including finalizing estimates, compiling documentation, and meeting submission deadlines.
- • Collaborate with U.S.-based project management teams during contract review and post-award project setup to ensure alignment between bid assumptions and execution.
- • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals during the preconstruction phase to clarify scope and pricing dependencies.
- • Utilize PlanHub and other estimating platforms to streamline bidding workflows, track subcontractor outreach, and maintain digital bid documentation.
- • Assist project management teams across the project lifecycle by providing estimating insights during construction planning and execution phases.
- • Maintain familiarity with national chain construction standards and repeat-project pricing models to ensure consistency across bids.
- • Apply knowledge of regional market pricing trends, particularly in Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, and Colorado, to inform accurate cost modeling.
- • Work independently in a fully remote, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume bid cycles.
- • Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and verbal, to coordinate with U.S.-based teams and subcontractors.
- • Manage multiple bid opportunities simultaneously while maintaining precision and adherence to company estimating protocols.
- • Ensure accountability and accuracy in all estimating deliverables to support the company’s reputation for consistent, high-quality project delivery.
- • Adapt to evolving project scopes and design changes by rapidly updating estimates and communicating impacts to internal stakeholders.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and documentation standards within the preconstruction team.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–3+ years of experience in construction estimating (flexible based on overall background)
- • Experience in general contracting or multi-trade commercial bidding
- • Strong understanding of construction pricing, cost breakdowns, and subcontractor coordination
- • Experience with national chain construction standards and repeat-project pricing models
- • Familiarity with regional market pricing, especially Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, and Colorado
- • Proficiency in PlanHub and/or PlanSwift estimating software
