  • • Lead large and complex capital construction projects across Chemours global sites, serving as the Owner’s Representative for safety, cost, schedule, quality, and productivity.
  • • Provide strategic and technical input during Front End Loading and Detailed Design phases, including Safety Plan Development, MI-QA plan validation, and Engineering/Design Review participation.
  • • Develop and execute Contracting Strategies, including Contractor Qualification and Performance Management for capital projects.
  • • Lead Constructability Analysis and Optimization, incorporating innovative and cost-effective construction technologies to enhance project outcomes.
  • • Review and validate construction schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical expertise in one defined area: Civil/Structural, Instrumentation and Controls, Electrical, or Piping/Mechanical.
  • • Direct Construction Planning & Work Management using LEAN Construction principles to drive field productivity and reduce project cycle time.
  • • Onboard, manage, and oversee on-site Construction Management resources, ensuring proper allocation of Chemours and contractor personnel.
  • • Audit and assess safety and quality plans throughout the construction phase, ensuring compliance with Chemours standards and regulatory requirements.
  • • Coordinate all construction/installation activities across project phases, maintaining integrated project schedules and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • • Manage documentation and approval of field change orders, ensuring accurate tracking and communication of scope changes.
  • • Support commissioning and start-up efforts by providing input on rigging, equipment requirements, and checkout planning.
  • • Conduct site assessments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across construction operations.
  • • Maintain deep knowledge of project specifications, standards, methods, scope of work, and design documents for assigned projects.
  • • Deliver timely, accurate project status updates to project teams and business leadership to ensure alignment on commitments and performance.
  • • Train Chemours and contractor personnel on areas of technical specialization and best practices in construction execution.
  • • Travel up to 50% of the time to national and potentially international project sites to oversee field execution and ensure project success.
  • • Utilize scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera) and critical path method (CPM) to optimize project timelines and resource allocation.
  • • Apply knowledge of construction codes, standards, and environmental procedures to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project scope into accurate cost estimates and execution plans.
  • • Ensure use of Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

🎯 Requirements

  • • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • • 8+ years of construction management experience on industrial construction projects, preferably with progression from a craft role to leadership
  • • Broad practical experience in one of the following areas: Civil/Structural, Process/Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Controls
  • • Proven ability to lead large capital construction projects using contractors
  • • Demonstrated skill in constructability analysis and detailed planning for contracted field work
  • • Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites nationally and internationally
