- • Supervise a portfolio of Construction Managers (CMs) across multiple project sites throughout the United States, ensuring alignment with Beta Engineering’s safety, quality, and schedule standards.
- • Carry out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Crest Operations LLC and Beta Engineering policies and applicable federal and state laws.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for CMs, providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and support to enhance individual and team performance.
- • Train, recruit, schedule, retain, and assign Construction Managers under supervision, ensuring proper staffing and coverage for all assigned projects.
- • Ensure all CMs are trained and compliant with Beta Engineering’s Safety Program and OSHA regulations, conducting on-site safety audits and addressing compliance issues.
- • Oversee implementation of Beta Engineering’s QA/QC protocols to verify subcontractors adhere to approved construction techniques, drawings, and quality standards.
- • Manage CMs’ training and certifications according to Beta’s official training matrix, tracking completion and compliance.
- • Support CMs in subcontractor management, including relationship maintenance, safety coordination, and performance evaluation.
- • Assist CMs with budget forecasting, projection updates, and financial tracking to ensure projects remain within approved allocations.
- • Collaborate with CMs to develop and adjust construction schedules, coordinating activities between Beta Engineering teams and subcontractors.
- • Review and ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and ad hoc project reports, including documentation collected from customers and subcontractors.
- • Interpret company policies and procedures to resolve field-level construction issues, often requiring increased on-site presence.
- • Manage logistical needs of CMs, including transportation, communications, office supplies, and job-specific equipment requirements.
- • Provide temporary CM duties during rotations or when no CM is available for a project site.
- • Contribute input on organizational structure, employee performance evaluations, development plans, and disciplinary actions.
- • Perform quality work with minimal direct supervision, meeting deadlines while maintaining professional standards.
- • Travel approximately 90% of the time between project sites; 10% remote office support as business needs require.
- • Operate company vehicles as required; must maintain a clean driving record and pass a successful Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Project for daily reporting, scheduling, and documentation.
- • Read and interpret electrical construction plans and drawings accurately to guide field operations and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- • Lift up to 50 pounds as part of field duties and work in outdoor, industrial environments under varying weather conditions.
- • Represent Beta Engineering with professionalism and integrity, consistently reflecting the company’s core values: doing what we say, turning challenges into success, and winning together.
🎯 Requirements
- • Five or more years’ experience as a high voltage substation construction supervisor or foreman, or high voltage/industrial overhead electrical line supervisor or foreman
- • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical construction plans and drawings
- • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Project
- • Clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to operate company vehicles
- • PMP certification preferred
- • Strong electrical power industry background, with preference for high voltage substation or transmission line experience
