  • • The Medical Director, Neurology Care Area Lead is a senior medical leadership role responsible for shaping the mid- to long-term direction of GE HealthCare’s neurology team in the U.S., ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of products in clinical practice within the PDx portfolio.
  • • The role involves setting and executing neurology medical strategy, informing portfolio and evidence priorities, guiding resource and budget allocation, and acting as a key thought partner to local leadership teams while overseeing cross-functional collaboration with Product, Commercial, Market Access, R&D, Quality, Pharmacovigilance, and other functions.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading medical strategy and planning, external stakeholder engagement with KOLs and HCPs, scientific communications and publications, evidence generation initiatives, medical information governance, and training and team development for neurology Medical Directors, Medical Advisors, Field Medical Specialists, MSLs, and Medical Managers.
  • • The role reports to the Head of Radiopharma Medical Affairs, USCAN, and works closely with neurology-focused teams to ensure medical excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives, while fostering a culture of collaboration, integrity, inclusion, safety, and innovation.
  • • The position offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives in neurodegenerative disease areas, influence global medical strategies through collaboration with Global Medical Expert Teams, and drive talent development and succession planning for future neurology leaders within GE HealthCare.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Advanced scientific or clinical degree (e.g. PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, MBBS, MSc) required.
  • • Minimum 12 years combined clinical and/or pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience, with at least 7 years in Medical Affairs or related scientific/clinical roles.
  • • Proven line-management and/or functional leadership experience of medical teams (e.g. MSLs, Medical Managers, Medical Advisors/Field Medical Specialists) is required.
  • • Significant experience in the relevant Neurology Care Area (clinical practice and/or Medical Affairs).
  • • Prior experience in a Medical Director-level role (or equivalent), Medical Manager or MSL Manager is strongly preferred.
  • • Good understanding of GCP, Medical Information governance, local compliance and regulatory requirements.
