- • Own the end-to-end viewer journey for 500 million users, translating complex data into intuitive, delightful experiences that turn first-time visitors into daily power users across mobile, web, and connected-TV platforms.
- • Drive product vision for Search, Personalization, Watch Experience, and Interactivity, ensuring every interaction feels magical—from the moment a user opens the app to the instant they re-engage the next day.
- • Conduct deep qualitative and quantitative research across 25 countries, uncovering cultural nuances, device constraints, and network realities that shape how emerging-market audiences discover and consume content.
- • Translate abstract problem statements into crisp PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering, design, and data science teams can execute against with clarity and speed.
- • Influence multi-year roadmaps beyond your immediate domain, aligning consumer delight, business growth, and technical feasibility into a single coherent narrative that secures buy-in from executives and cross-functional partners.
- • Define, track, and obsess over at least one North-Star KPI—such as daily active users, average watch time, or content discovery rate—using experimentation, A/B testing, and cohort analysis to move the metric materially every quarter.
- • Champion a data-driven culture by building dashboards, defining event taxonomy, and evangelizing insights that help the entire Viewer Experience org make faster, smarter decisions.
- • Collaborate daily with world-class engineers, ML scientists, and designers to ship features that operate flawlessly at massive scale—handling millions of concurrent streams and petabytes of content metadata without missing a beat.
- • Respond with agility to external signals—regulatory changes, competitive moves, sporting events, or viral trends—adjusting roadmaps in real time while transparently communicating trade-offs to stakeholders and users.
- • Mentor junior PMs, run inclusive sprint rituals, and contribute to hiring loops, ensuring the team grows in both size and capability while maintaining psychological safety and a bias for action.
- • Benchmark global and regional competitors, distilling best practices and white-space opportunities into differentiated features that keep JioHotstar the undisputed streaming leader in South Asia and beyond.
- • Build strong relationships with content, marketing, payments, and ad-tech teams to weave commerce and entertainment into one frictionless flow—so users can discover, watch, tip creators, or buy merchandise without ever leaving the app.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4–6 years of product management experience shipping scalable consumer-facing products, preferably in streaming, marketplaces, or high-growth mobile apps.
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- • Demonstrated ability to own at least one critical KPI and drive measurable impact through experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven iteration.
- • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a talent for turning complex ideas into simple narratives that resonate across engineering, design, and executive audiences.
- • Strong user empathy combined with structured problem-solving; proven track record of translating user pain points into innovative product features.
- • Comfort navigating ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete data, and rallying cross-functional teams toward a shared vision.
