Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the primary nutrition authority on Salvo’s interdisciplinary, whole-patient care team, guiding members through a multi-month journey that moves beyond symptom control to root-cause resolution of chronic GI and metabolic conditions such as IBS, IBD, SIBO, and obesity.
- • Deliver evidence-based, personalized nutrition therapy via both synchronous video visits and asynchronous chat, tailoring macro- and micronutrient plans, elimination or re-introduction protocols, and supplement strategies that fit each member’s lifestyle, culture, and clinical picture.
- • Employ motivational interviewing and health-coaching techniques to empower members to set realistic, measurable goals around nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep hygiene, and behavior change—then track progress through Salvo’s RPM-enabled app and adjust plans in real time.
- • Collaborate daily with board-certified gastroenterologists, licensed clinical social workers, nurses, medical assistants, and fellow dietitians in case conferences and shared care plans, ensuring every clinical decision is coordinated, timely, and aligned with Salvo’s evidence-based protocols.
- • Provide on-demand education via bite-sized articles, recipe libraries, grocery lists, and video explainers that demystify FODMAPs, low-residue diets, anti-inflammatory patterns, and gut-brain axis nutrition—turning complex science into actionable, everyday habits.
- • Monitor biometric and symptom data from connected devices and patient-reported outcomes, proactively flagging red flags (e.g., sudden weight loss, micronutrient deficiencies, escalating GI symptoms) and escalating to the medical team when higher-level intervention is required.
- • Maintain meticulous, HIPAA-compliant documentation in Salvo’s EHR, capturing nutrition assessments, plan updates, and member communications to ensure continuity of care and seamless billing under RPM and CCM codes.
- • Contribute to protocol refinement and clinical quality improvement by collecting member feedback, analyzing outcome metrics, and piloting new care pathways—your insights will directly shape the next version of Salvo’s GI nutrition playbook.
- • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in every interaction: translate materials into accessible language, respect cultural food practices, and advocate for members who face systemic barriers to healthy eating.
- • Participate in weekly grand-rounds-style learning sessions and monthly case-study reviews led by Salvo’s clinical leadership, sharpening your expertise in emerging areas such as microbiome modulation, psychogastroenterology, and personalized supplementation.
- • Represent Salvo externally by co-authoring blog posts, hosting Instagram Lives, or speaking at virtual conferences—positioning yourself as a thought leader who translates cutting-edge GI nutrition research into practical guidance for millions of sufferers.
- • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where priorities can shift quickly; demonstrate agility by toggling between direct patient care, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic projects without compromising quality or empathy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential with ability to obtain multi-state licensure; Florida and Georgia licenses strongly preferred
- • Minimum 2 years of post-credentialing experience as an RD/RDN in clinical, telehealth, or private-practice settings
- • Demonstrated working knowledge of evidence-based nutritional approaches for GI conditions such as IBS, IBD, and SIBO
- • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a significant plus for serving diverse patient populations
- • Proven experience communicating effectively with patients asynchronously via chat, email, or patient-portal messaging
🏖️ Benefits
- • 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision premiums for employees and all dependents—no payroll deductions
- • 200 hours (25 days) of paid time off plus 12 company holidays, giving you true work-life balance in a remote setting
- • Annual continuing-education stipend and full coverage of RD registration maintenance fees to keep your credential current
- • Clinical leadership mentoring and funded advanced training in GI and metabolic health to accelerate your specialty expertise
