đź“‹ Description
- • As a Consultant in Clinical Performance Improvement (Care Transitions) at BRG Communications LLC, you will be instrumental in driving significant, sustainable improvements in patient care operations across the healthcare continuum. This role is part of the Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) practice, specifically within the Clinical and Quality Transformation (CQT) group, and focuses on the Care Transitions (CT) pillar. Your primary objective will be to reduce excess hospital days and enhance patient flow through targeted interventions, technology integration, and foundational operational enhancements.
- • You will analyze and benchmark organizational performance against industry standards and best practices, identifying key areas for improvement. This involves conducting in-depth analyses, leading benchmarking studies, and developing actionable recommendations tailored to client-specific challenges. Your insights will directly inform strategies to optimize clinical quality, operational efficiency, and overall care delivery.
- • A core responsibility involves developing and executing comprehensive project plans that align with the defined scope of work. You will work both independently and collaboratively with Senior Associates and Managing Consultants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality client solutions. This requires advanced analytical skills, strong communication capabilities, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
- • The role encompasses Project Management Office (PMO) responsibilities under the guidance of the Client Services Executive and Engagement Director. This includes managing project travel logistics, negotiating hotel rates, coordinating travel arrangements for multiple team members, and communicating on-site schedules to clients. You will also be responsible for reviewing and approving travel expense reports and supporting the coordination and scheduling of client meetings.
- • You will play a key role in developing and coordinating client-facing materials, such as assessment slide decks and executive steering committee presentations. Your ability to create compelling and informative materials will be crucial for client engagement and project success.
- • Beyond PMO duties, you will support project workstreams, potentially serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your core knowledge area or assisting SMEs in others. This involves supporting the assessment and implementation of deliverables, helping establish client processes and policies to maximize quality and efficiency, and monitoring implemented workstreams to provide timely feedback.
- • You will have the opportunity to independently meet with clients and executives to advance project deliverables and create client-facing materials. For smaller-scale projects, you may develop project plans and client deliverables independently, and lead performance improvement work teams in developing future-state processes.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to managing your time and resources, enabling you to support multiple engagements simultaneously. You are expected to submit accurate and timely expense reports and time entries, and to contribute internally to the firm's advancement through participation in work teams and task forces.
- • You will be encouraged to utilize non-productive time for professional continuing education and firm advancement. A willingness to work in other service lines as directed demonstrates flexibility and commitment to the broader goals of BRG.
- • After one year of employment, you will have the opportunity to serve as a "buddy" for new hires, including summer associates and employees at the associate, senior associate, and consultant levels, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- • This position requires a significant degree of flexibility for travel, potentially up to 80% of the time, depending on project and client needs. This travel may involve extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, and moving throughout facilities.
- • You will be expected to understand and apply concepts related to labor productivity, care management, patient placement, throughput processes, discharge mitigation, and post-acute care. Your ability to interface effectively with clients' clinical and ancillary leaders, analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions is paramount.
- • The role is designed for individuals who can independently lead smaller initiatives and actively participate in larger throughput initiatives, driving process improvement and enhancing patient care outcomes. This is a remote position within the USA, offering a dynamic and challenging opportunity to make a tangible impact on healthcare delivery.
