- • Support Medicaid member mail processing by receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence related to member services.
- • Review and process enrollment forms, eligibility documentation, claims-related communications, and other member correspondence with accuracy and timeliness.
- • Track mail status and ensure timely resolution of processing issues while maintaining strict confidentiality of member information in compliance with Medicaid program requirements and HIPAA regulations.
- • Utilize Humana’s Medicaid training and prior administrative experience to execute tasks related to member communication workflows.
- • Exercise discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests, interpreting procedures, and adapting processes under limited guidance due to prior experience in administrative functions.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve mail processing discrepancies and ensure alignment with program compliance standards.
- • Work independently and as part of a team to support continuous improvement of consumer experiences within the Medicaid program.
- • Maintain high attention to detail during data entry and handling of multiple screens and databases to ensure error-free processing.
- • Adhere to work schedule requirements: weekdays 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
- • Work from a dedicated home workspace that minimizes interruptions and protects protected health information (PHI).
- • Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word to complete daily administrative tasks and communications.
- • Participate in remote onboarding, training, and occasional in-office meetings or trainings as required.
- • Engage in a pre-recorded voice or SMS text interview process as part of the hiring selection procedure.
- • Operate under the constraints of the DoD SkillBridge Internship or Military Spouse Career Accelerator Fellowship programs, with a duration of 90 days or up to 12 weeks respectively.
🎯 Requirements
- • Transitioning Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridge or Military Spouse eligible for the Military Spouse Career Accelerator Fellowship
- • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, including typing/data entry
- • Professional healthcare experience or education in a healthcare discipline
- • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word
- • Working knowledge of computers with demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems
