  • • As a Business Development Manager within Equifax's Consumer Solutions team, you will be instrumental in driving significant market expansion and deepening penetration across both established and emerging market segments. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new business and meticulously crafting and executing entry strategies for nascent markets or distinct market segments, thereby playing a pivotal role in Equifax's growth trajectory and its mission to empower consumers and businesses through data-driven insights.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide array of strategic sales and relationship-building activities. You will be tasked with identifying and securing new customers and partners, with a particular emphasis on large-scale organizations that possess extensive customer bases. A key objective will be to land and grow new customer and partner revenue across the entire Equifax portfolio, strategically offering consumer scores, consumer reports, and other vital consumer services in a seamless and integrated manner that adds demonstrable value. This involves cultivating robust contact networks within these new customer and partner organizations, acting as a crucial liaison to connect them with the appropriate Equifax counterparts and subject matter experts. You will be responsible for laying the foundational elements of long-term, trust-based customer and partner relationships, ensuring that Equifax is perceived as a reliable and valuable strategic ally.
  • • You will actively identify, develop, manage, and ultimately close opportunities that span the full spectrum of Equifax's innovative solutions. This requires a deep understanding of prospective clients' business imperatives, necessitating comprehensive research into their specific strategies related to risk management, fraud prevention, and marketing initiatives. Based on this understanding, you will define and execute sophisticated sales strategies designed to achieve profitable growth while simultaneously delivering substantial, measurable value to the Consumer Solutions team and Equifax as a whole. A significant part of your role will involve networking extensively and building strong, influential relationships with economic buyers, key decision-makers, and influencers within target organizations, ensuring Equifax's solutions are top-of-mind.
  • • You will lead account strategy sessions in close collaboration with cross-functional Equifax teams, meticulously identifying sales opportunities that are directly tied to Equifax's value-added services and can address critical client needs. A crucial aspect of this will be responding effectively to Prospect RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFPs (Requests for Proposals) by developing and presenting tailored, consumer-focused solutions that clearly articulate Equifax's unique value proposition. Furthermore, you will be expected to drive strong pipeline development through disciplined and effective sales execution, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified opportunities and a high conversion rate.
  • • The team you will be joining is dedicated to championing the delivery of high-value consumer propositions. They focus on identifying, developing, and deploying solutions that empower Equifax's external partners, including financial institutions, fintech companies, telecommunications providers, and utility companies. The ultimate goal is to enable these partners to construct and execute superior, high-value consumer journeys. A central tenet of this effort is the seamless and strategic integration of Equifax's proprietary consumer data, which allows partners to significantly enrich their customer interactions, optimize their decision-making processes, and enhance the overall consumer experience and product relevance, thereby driving mutual success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Extensive UK industry experience, with a strong understanding of the market landscape and key players.
  • • Bureau / Lending / Marketplace knowledge, demonstrating familiarity with credit bureaus, lending practices, and marketplace dynamics.
  • • Regulatory experience, specifically with bodies like the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) and FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), indicating an understanding of compliance and data protection in the UK.
  • • Consumer fintech experience, showcasing a background in or understanding of the financial technology sector focused on consumers.
  • • Ideally, a pre-existing contact book or the demonstrated ability to rapidly build a strong professional network within the target industry.
  • • Ability to articulate complex financial insights and data-driven value propositions to senior stakeholders.
  • • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent relevant sales experience.
