  • • Serve as a Continuous Improvement & Innovation Specialist supporting PerkinElmer’s UK-based operations with regular travel to customer sites including AstraZeneca locations in Cambridge and Macclesfield.
  • • Monitor and analyze program trends, processes, and technology to identify opportunities for innovation and operational enhancement across the organization.
  • • Facilitate ideation sessions to review existing business processes, pinpoint inefficiencies, and uncover actionable improvements aligned with organizational goals.
  • • Lead end-to-end business improvement projects—from defining scope and objectives to execution and delivery—ensuring alignment with timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • • Champion a culture of innovation by proactively researching and introducing new technologies, best practices, and industry trends to drive competitive advantage.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders at all levels to communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes effectively.
  • • Leverage data-driven insights in partnership with business insights teams to inform decision-making, identify patterns, and recommend targeted improvements.
  • • Manage the change process associated with business initiatives, anticipating resistance and implementing strategies to ensure smooth adoption and sustained impact.
  • • Ensure all improvement initiatives comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements, applying rigorous quality control measures and validation protocols.
  • • Lead, coach, and inspire cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented work environment.
  • • Utilize Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project to analyze data, develop reports, and manage project documentation and timelines.
  • • Design and implement low-code/no-code automation solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • • Apply enterprise-sanctioned AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to generate data-driven insights, accelerate analysis, and support continuous improvement efforts within IT governance and data compliance frameworks.
  • • Conduct process mapping and workflow analysis using approved business process applications; experience with Maximo is preferred.
  • • Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%–25% as required to support customer sites and global initiatives.
  • • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables and project outcomes.
  • • Adapt effectively to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities and stakeholder demands.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, process engineering, project management, or a related field
  • • Proven experience in business improvement, process optimization, and project management within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project
  • • Demonstrated ability to design and implement low-code/no-code solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • • Experience leveraging enterprise-approved AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity and decision-making
  • • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and drive data-informed improvements
