  • • The Contract Compliance & Financial Operations Specialist at RSM US LLP’s Risk & Regulatory Consulting (RRC) affiliate is a senior individual contributor responsible for ensuring consistent execution of contract compliance, financial controls, and risk mitigation across client engagements. This role directly supports partners and senior leadership by enforcing policies, analyzing financial performance, and driving operational excellence—making it critical to RRC’s ability to deliver high-quality, compliant client service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing contract intake, review, and approval workflows; serving as the primary liaison to the Office of Risk Management; maintaining contract documentation (SOWs, amendments, correspondence); reviewing team deliverables for accuracy and consistency; preparing high-quality presentations and client-ready materials; providing informal coaching and mentorship to junior staff; analyzing monthly financial results (revenue, utilization, margins); preparing variance analyses and forecasts; monitoring engagement economics for scope, billing, or profitability issues; preparing weekly time analysis reports with exception tracking; supporting budgeting, forecasting, and pipeline tracking; ensuring compliance with firm policies via QA reviews of proposals and reports; maintaining RRC’s SharePoint site; assisting with new hire orientation; coordinating with cross-functional teams (IT Governance, HR, Insurance); and updating marketing tools and materials to reflect current regulatory and client data.
  • • The RRC team operates as a national leader in regulatory services, specializing in financial examinations, market conduct, insolvency, actuarial services, investment analysis, reinsurance, and compliance for clients in highly regulated industries. As an affiliate of RSM US LLP—a top-tier professional services firm serving the middle market globally—RRC combines deep regulatory expertise with the resources and culture of a leading advisory organization.   • • In this role, the specialist will develop advanced expertise in contract lifecycle management, financial operations oversight, and risk mitigation within a professional services context. They will sharpen their ability to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for senior leaders, build credibility as a trusted advisor on compliance and efficiency, and gain exposure to firm-wide systems like Workday, Power BI, and SharePoint. The position offers significant opportunity to influence process design, mentor peers, and position oneself for future leadership roles in operations, risk, or finance within RSM or similar professional services firms.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree and 5-10+ years of relevant experience in consulting or professional services
  • • Strong understanding of contracts, risk considerations, and operational processes, with advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights
  • • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and business productivity tools (e.g., Power BI, Workday, ServiceNow) and ability to learn new systems quickly
