  • • Sift, a leader in Digital Trust & Safety, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts and Legal Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact both our legal contracts function and the evolution of our legal operations as we continue our rapid growth trajectory. You will be instrumental in shaping how Sift manages its legal agreements and leverages technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • • In this multifaceted position, you will be the go-to expert for reviewing and negotiating a wide array of buy-side and sell-side contracts. This includes, but is not limited to, critical documents such as order forms, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Master Service Agreements (MSAs). Your meticulous attention to detail and strong negotiation skills will be essential in safeguarding Sift's interests while facilitating business objectives.
  • • A core responsibility will be to own the end-to-end business procurement contract administration lifecycle. This encompasses managing the entire process from the initial receipt and tracking of inbound requests to the finalization and execution of agreements. You will ensure that all contractual processes are robust, compliant, and efficiently managed, providing a seamless experience for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely and cross-functionally with various Sift business groups, with a particular emphasis on partnering with our sales and sales operations teams. Your efforts will be focused on streamlining the sales process and accelerating related deal cycles, ensuring that legal support is a catalyst for business growth rather than a bottleneck.
  • • You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our foundational legal knowledge base. This includes creating and updating key contract templates, establishing comprehensive playbooks, defining clear policies, and curating other essential knowledge materials. This proactive approach will ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all contractual activities.
  • • Data-driven decision-making is paramount. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key department metrics. These insights will be invaluable in informing strategic decisions, identifying areas for improvement, and demonstrating the value of the legal function to the wider organization.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves driving continuous process improvement. You will be at the forefront of exploring and implementing automation and AI-driven enhancements to our legal workflows. This includes re-imagining existing processes, identifying opportunities for technological integration, and creating supporting process collateral to facilitate adoption and understanding.
  • • As part of a lean and agile legal and compliance team operating in a fast-paced environment, you will be expected to embrace a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality. 🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 5 years of prior in-house work experience as a Contracts Manager, with a minimum of 3 years specifically within a B2B SaaS company.
  • • Direct experience in managing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs, MSAs, order forms) and a proven track record of owning the contract administration lifecycle.
  • • Demonstrated experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and other legal technology or AI-based legal operations solutions.
  • • Proficiency with Salesforce and a strong understanding of how legal operations integrate with sales processes.
  • • Proven ability to develop and implement tools and processes that streamline and improve legal function efficiency and effectiveness.
