- • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with a target of ≤10-day close cadence
- • Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and prepare accurate internal financial statements and reporting packages
- • Execute and maintain revenue recognition processes in a complex, insurance-driven healthcare environment
- • Build and manage a monthly revenue bridge linking billing activity to net revenue, cash, and accounts receivable
- • Reconcile Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) outputs to the general ledger each month
- • Own accounts receivable accounting, including aging analysis and reserve methodology
- • Design and implement scalable accounting processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- • Establish and enforce internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance across all accounting functions
- • Identify, remediate, and document gaps in existing accounting workflows and controls
- • Prepare the organization for audit readiness and future diligence processes
- • Oversee payroll accounting by accurately reconciling bi-weekly pay periods and invoicing with monthly financial reporting
- • Partner with Finance Operations, who execute payroll, to ensure payroll data is correctly reflected in the general ledger
- • Collaborate closely with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to align operational reporting with financial reporting
- • Enhance visibility into revenue quality, collections performance, and accounts receivable trends
- • Work directly with Executive leadership to build a scalable accounting infrastructure for a rapidly growing healthcare MSO
- • Support the company’s growth by creating a reliable financial foundation in a high-volume, scaling environment
- • Maintain accurate financial records in an environment with cross-border (US-CAN) accounting considerations
- • Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems and reporting accuracy to support strategic decision-making
🎯 Requirements
- • 8-10 years of healthcare accounting experience
- • Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience
- • Strong technical accounting foundation in healthcare revenue recognition
- • Experience operating in high-volume, scaling environments
- • Ability to build accounting processes from 0-1
- • Cross-border (US-CAN) accounting experience (bonus)
