📋 Description

• • The Controller is a key member of Nature United’s Finance & Operations team, responsible for overseeing all accounting activities and ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic support for a mission-driven organization advancing conservation and reconciliation across Canada.
• • Day to day, the Controller manages full-cycle general ledger activities for Canadian and U.S. entities, leads monthly and year-end close processes, oversees payroll operations, maintains financial ERP systems, prepares audit and regulatory filings, manages cash and bank operations, and strengthens internal controls and financial governance.
• • Nature United is a national affiliate of The Nature Conservancy, dedicated to advancing sustainable resource management, supporting Indigenous leadership, and deploying natural climate solutions to address the climate crisis, with a mission to protect lands and waters so people and nature thrive.
• • In this role, the Controller will deepen expertise in fund accounting, cross-border financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP system administration while contributing to high-impact conservation initiatives and developing leadership in financial governance within a values-driven, collaborative environment.
