Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Serve as the primary architect and storyteller for Cleveland Clinic Health System’s enterprise-wide compliance communications. You will translate complex federal, state, and payer regulations into clear, actionable guidance that 70,800+ caregivers across 19 hospitals and 220+ outpatient sites can understand and apply in real time.
  • • Design, launch, and continuously improve a multi-channel education portfolio—intranet articles, micro-learning videos, live webinars, podcasts, digital signage, and quick-reference job aids—that keeps caregivers current on DHHS, CMS, OCR, and OIG updates. Your content will directly reduce audit risk and strengthen the culture of integrity that powers our nationally ranked patient outcomes.
  • • Partner with Compliance Directors, Legal, Privacy, Revenue Cycle, Research, and Institute leaders to identify emerging risk areas, then craft targeted campaigns that close knowledge gaps before they become violations. You will own the editorial calendar, set measurable engagement KPIs, and report quarterly on program effectiveness.
  • • Lead root-cause investigations when compliance incidents occur. You will interview stakeholders, analyze data, and author corrective-action plans that not only fix the immediate issue but also prevent recurrence through sustainable process and education enhancements.
  • • Coordinate system-wide responses to external audits and monitoring activities. You will track deliverables, synthesize findings, and ensure that lessons learned are rapidly socialized through updated policies, FAQs, and training modules.
  • • Maintain a centralized repository of compliance resources—policies, toolkits, checklists, and FAQs—ensuring version control, accessibility, and alignment with Joint Commission, HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and research regulations.
  • • Serve as an approachable subject-matter expert during daily office hours and ad-hoc consultations, translating “legalese” into caregiver-friendly language that empowers clinical and non-clinical teams alike.
  • • Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines, leveraging project-management software to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and deliver on time without compromising quality or accuracy.
  • • Travel 5–10 % of the year to regional campuses, residency programs, and leadership summits, delivering in-person workshops that strengthen relationships and reinforce key messages.
  • • Contribute to the evolution of the CCHS Compliance Program by benchmarking against peer health systems, piloting innovative communication technologies, and presenting best-practice recommendations to senior leadership.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of recent healthcare compliance, auditing, billing, coding, privacy, research, regulatory, reimbursement, or information-management experience (JD + 1 year, RN + 3 years, Associate + 4 years, or HS/GED + 5 years also accepted)
  • • Demonstrated ability to lead root-cause investigations and develop corrective-action plans that drive sustainable process improvement
  • • Proven skill in managing, coordinating, and tracking multiple high-priority cases or projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard collaboration platforms
  • • Preferred: Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC, CHPC, CHRC, etc.) and prior experience in healthcare compliance education, health communications, or healthcare marketing

🏖️ Benefits

  • • 100 % remote work flexibility from Ohio, Florida, or Nevada with core hours 8:00 am–5:00 pm Monday–Friday and minimal travel (5–10 %)
  • • Comprehensive, market-leading benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with generous match, tuition reimbursement, and caregiver wellness programs
  • • Career-long learning culture with access to Cleveland Clinic’s world-class educational resources, leadership development tracks, and specialty certification support
  • • Be part of a mission-driven, nonprofit academic medical center consistently ranked among “America’s Best Hospitals” by U.S. News & World Report
