đź“‹ Description
- • Lead the accounting function through Polygon Labs' first-year GAAS audit, driving historical remediation, enforcing close discipline, and building controls for public-company reporting standards as a Principal Accounting Officer track role.
- • Own monthly and quarterly close processes across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction structure, ensuring timely delivery of accounting-ready inputs from Treasury, Payroll, AP/AR, and FinOps while managing multi-currency consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
- • Serve as the company's authoritative voice on U.S. GAAP by writing technical accounting memos, owning equity and stock-compensation accounting (ASC 718), PFIC reporting, and delivering board-ready financial packages.
- • Lead and develop a senior accounting team by setting technical and operational standards, managing external auditors, and building NetSuite-based automation to improve close efficiency and audit readiness.

- • Big 4 or national firm audit foundation with industry controllership experience in a complex, multi-entity structure, including leading a first-year audit to a clean opinion
- • U.S. GAAP technical depth in equity and stock-compensation (ASC 718), multi-entity consolidations, revenue recognition, and impairment/fair value, with ability to write and defend technical memos
- • Proven people leadership of a senior accounting team, including setting direction, maintaining standards, and developing talent without doing the work for them
- • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (workflow configuration, close automation, reconciliation automation) and integrating finance tools to improve close efficiency
- • Demonstrated ability to manage external auditors and advisors to firm deadlines, driving engagement rather than following the firm's pace
- • Proven track record of using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, or comparable) to draft technical memos, build automated workflows, and validate sub-function outputs as a baseline expectation

- • Industry-leading Medical, Dental, and Vision health insurance
- • Company-matched 401k with 3% match (U.S. employees)

- • $200 Annual AI Allowance Program
- • $75 Monthly internet or phone reimbursement
- • Flexible Time Off
