- • As Twilio's next Corporate Travel and Event Security Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our most valuable assets: our people and our operations. This remote-based position, located in Ireland, is integral to the day-to-day management and strategic execution of Twilio’s comprehensive Travel and Event Security Programs. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust security strategies, meticulously managing security processes, conducting thorough risk assessments, and providing critical support for both corporate events and our global traveling workforce.
- • In this dynamic role, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the safety and security of Twilio employees and stakeholders across a variety of scenarios. Your responsibilities will span across several critical areas, each contributing to the overall resilience and security posture of the company.
- • **Event Security Support (30%):** You will be at the forefront of event security, conducting and supporting comprehensive risk assessments for all company-sponsored events. This involves a deep dive into potential threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. You will oversee and actively participate in the development of detailed security plans and guidance tailored to the specific needs of each event. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to lead or support the on-the-ground implementation of these security plans, particularly within the EMEA region, and extend your expertise to other global locations as required. This hands-on involvement ensures that security protocols are not just theoretical but are effectively executed to provide a secure environment for all attendees.
- • **Travel Security Support (20%):** Your expertise will extend to safeguarding our global travelers. This includes conducting and supporting thorough travel risk assessments, identifying potential risks associated with business travel, and developing proactive mitigation strategies. You will oversee and participate in the development and implementation of travel security logistics, ensuring the safety of employees during business trips, company events, and while working remotely. A key aspect of this role involves assisting travelers with bookings to high or critical-rated countries, providing them with the necessary guidance and support. You will also work directly with our travel risk management provider, coordinating cases and contributing to the overall vendor management to ensure seamless and secure travel experiences.
- • **Program Support (20%):** This area focuses on the continuous improvement and operational efficiency of our security programs. You will be responsible for developing innovative new processes and tools that enhance the maturity of both the Event and Travel security programs. This includes supporting regular updates to safety and security protocols, standards, and policies, ensuring they remain current and effective in a rapidly evolving landscape. You will generate key metrics and trend reports for senior management, providing valuable insights into program performance and areas for enhancement. Maintaining and updating the events calendar and other essential support tracking tools will be crucial for operational visibility. A critical component of this role involves remaining on-call and available to manage security-related emergencies, requiring swift and decisive action. You will also perform other duties as assigned to support the broader security function.
- • **Health, Safety, and Emergency Preparedness (5%):** You will actively support the health and safety risk assessment and mitigation planning process for corporate events and travel. This involves close collaboration with the Global Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all aspects of employee well-being are considered and addressed within security planning.
- • **Executive Protection Support (5%):** You will provide essential support to the Executive Protection program, particularly during high-visibility events and executive travel, ensuring the utmost security and discretion for Twilio's leadership.
- • **Stakeholder Coordination (20%):** Effective collaboration is paramount. You will coordinate closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including HR, Legal, Risk Management, Marketing, law enforcement agencies, and key vendors. This ensures alignment with company policies, risk appetite, and a unified approach to security across the organization. Your ability to build strong relationships and facilitate clear communication will be vital to achieving common goals and resolving complex security challenges.
- • At Twilio, we believe in fostering a remote-first culture that values connection, inclusion, and global impact. We empower our employees to shape their careers and make a difference. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative company that is revolutionizing the future of communications.
