📋 Description

• As a Cost Management Consultant at Health Catalyst, you will be at the forefront of driving significant financial and operational improvements within large health systems and provider organizations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the successful implementation of our cutting-edge Activity Based Costing product, PowerCosting, acting as the primary liaison between Health Catalyst and our esteemed clients.
• You will be instrumental in guiding clients through the complex landscape of cost accounting, ensuring they leverage PowerCosting to achieve measurable, data-informed healthcare improvement. This requires a deep understanding of both cost accounting principles and the intricacies of healthcare operations.
• Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive project management, from initial client engagement and assessment through to full deployment and ongoing support. You will own project timelines, meticulously track tasks, and ensure the achievement of project goals, fostering a collaborative environment between client stakeholders and the Health Catalyst technical implementation team.
• A key aspect of this role is building and nurturing strong relationships with client sponsors and end-users. You will interact regularly with Finance, Operations, and Clinical teams, providing expert guidance, facilitating pragmatic decision-making, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
• You will serve as the subject matter expert for PowerCosting, educating clients on best practices for cost management and guiding them through critical implementation decisions, such as chart of account groupings, overhead and re-classification rules, and the selection of appropriate resource utilization drivers tailored to their unique operational context.
• This role demands exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively persuade, motivate, and manage objections at an executive level, while also building rapport across all organizational tiers.
• You will be responsible for delivering end-user training, ensuring clients are proficient in utilizing the PowerCosting suite. Furthermore, you will act as the primary point of contact for managing software issues, troubleshooting challenges, and logging enhancement requests, thereby directly influencing product development.
• By serving as the primary conduit between the client and the PowerCosting product development team, you will play a crucial role in tracking issues and advocating for client needs, ensuring the product evolves to meet the dynamic demands of the healthcare industry.
• The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in executive account management, ideally within the healthcare sector, demonstrating success in building trust and achieving high client satisfaction.
• A strong foundation in healthcare cost accounting is highly preferred, as it will enable you to facilitate insightful cost management discussions and guide clients toward optimal solutions.
• You will need to demonstrate robust project management experience, characterized by meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
• Experience in healthcare operations, encompassing both clinical and technical aspects, will be invaluable in understanding client challenges and tailoring solutions effectively.
• The ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment, applying best practices in both clinical and agile technology program management, is essential for success in this role.
• You will be expected to possess strong analytical problem-solving skills, anticipating potential issues and proactively managing conflict resolution to ensure smooth project progression.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a finance, operations, and/or cost accounting role within healthcare system or provider organizations.
• At least 3 years of program or project management experience.
• Proven executive account management experience, ideally in a health care related industry, with the ability to interact, persuade, motivate, and handle objections at an executive level.
• Subject matter expertise in cost accounting principles and healthcare operations, with the ability to educate and guide client teams on pragmatic implementation decisions.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, relationship building, organization, and time-management skills.
