- • Counsel, California (Remote) – Defend lawsuits filed in California courts and handle first-party insurance defense matters for GEICO Staff Counsel, supporting the company’s mission to protect customers when they need it most.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include researching laws, preparing legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda; rendering opinions on liability, damages, and value for the Claims Department; preparing and handling pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, examinations under oath, and defending cases at trial or dispositive hearings.

🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of litigation experience in insurance, defense, or personal injury (REQUIRED)
- • Juris Doctor degree (REQUIRED)
- • Admission to the California Bar and license in good standing to practice law in California (REQUIRED)
