- • Counsel, Product Legal, Financial and Strategic Partnerships at Airwallex (UK) Limited in Singapore, playing a key role in legal strategy and execution for global banking and strategic partnerships.
- • Lead complex negotiations with banking partners, payment schemes, and financial institutions; structure and scale deals for issuing, payments, embedded finance, and yield products; design AI-enabled contracting processes and playbooks.
- • Collaborate with Financial Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships, Product, Risk, and Regulatory Legal teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and alignment with Airwallex’s licensing and AI-native strategy across jurisdictions.
- • Build and improve legal processes, templates, and documentation hygiene; champion AI adoption in contract review and risk management; advise executives on risk-weighted decisions in high-value partnerships.
- • Operate in a high-growth fintech environment with founder-like energy, balancing speed and rigor, using first-principles thinking to drive impact and ownership.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer, including significant time at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house in fintech, payments, banking, or adjacent financial services.
- • Deep experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and regulatory-sensitive agreements with banks, payment schemes, or financial partners, ideally across multiple regions.
- • Proven experience advising on and negotiating strategic partnerships with large technology, platform, or ecosystem partners, including multi-product and multi-market arrangements.
- • Demonstrated ability to build and improve legal processes, playbooks, and templates for efficient, repeatable contracting at scale with strong controls and clear escalation paths.
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior commercial, product, and risk leaders in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- • Qualified to practice law in a common law jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, England & Wales, US, Australia) or equivalent, with strong academic credentials.
