  • • This is a Senior-Level Administrative VA opportunity focused on Patient Adherence and Treatment Tracking, offering a remote, independent contractor role with a global reach, primarily serving clients in developed markets like the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
  • • The core responsibility of this role is to meticulously track and coordinate osteoporosis treatment plans for patients undergoing injectable and oral therapies, such as Prolia, Evenity, and Reclast.
  • • You will play a crucial role in ensuring patients remain on schedule with their treatments by identifying individuals who are due or overdue for essential steps like injections, laboratory tests, or follow-up appointments.
  • • A key aspect of the job involves proactively flagging any missing documentation or incomplete care steps within the patient's treatment pathway, ensuring a seamless and compliant care journey.
  • • You will also be responsible for monitoring the timing of crucial diagnostic tests like DXA scans and verifying patient insurance eligibility to prevent any disruptions in treatment.
  • • The role requires close coordination with specialty pharmacies to manage various aspects of medication delivery and authorization.
  • • This includes tracking the shipment status of medications, managing prior authorization processes, and understanding the different insurance pathways for patient access to treatment.
  • • You will also communicate with infusion centers to facilitate the smooth delivery of care.
  • • Responsibilities in this area include sending necessary lab documentation to the centers and confirming scheduled appointments and treatment completion.
  • • A significant part of the role involves direct patient outreach through proactive outbound calls.
  • • These calls are designed to confirm medication adherence, ensure patients are scheduling and completing required lab work, and verify upcoming treatment appointments.
  • • Maintaining a professional, empathetic, and clear communication style during these patient interactions is paramount.
  • • It is critical to understand that this role is highly structured and process-driven, with strict limitations on clinical involvement.
  • • You will NOT be interpreting lab results or making any clinical decisions.
  • • You will also NOT be handling billing dispute issues or performing same-day visit scheduling tasks.
  • • Any clinical questions or concerns related to lab results or patient health must be immediately escalated to the designated Medical Assistant (MA) or provider.
  • • Accurate and diligent documentation is a fundamental requirement of this position.
  • • You will be required to log all qualifying activities in a time tracker, meticulously recording the date, task category, and duration in minutes.
  • • Maintaining organized and accurate spreadsheet tracking of your activities is essential.
  • • All patient outreach attempts and coordination efforts must be thoroughly documented within the client's EMR or designated tracking system.
  • • The objective of your engagement is to directly contribute to the client's business efficiency, enhance their service delivery, and support operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services.
  • • This role demands an individual who is extremely detail-oriented, confident in their communication skills, and comfortable navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and spreadsheets on a daily basis.
  • • You will be working within a defined scope of work, adhering to an independent contractor agreement, and performing services professionally with strict adherence to agreed-upon timelines, guidelines, and deliverables.
  • • This position offers a flexible work schedule, initially part-time (20 hours/week) with the potential to transition to full-time (40 hours/week), with daily working hours flexible within the 8 AM to 5 PM CST timeframe, Monday through Friday.
  • • You will receive free training on required EMR systems like Athena, ensuring you are well-equipped to succeed.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare administration, care coordination, or medical office support.
  • • Proven experience with high-volume outbound calling, demonstrating confidence and professionalism when speaking with patients and medical offices.
  • • Excellent English communication skills with a Level A/B accent (native or near-native).
  • • Proficiency in using EMR systems (Athena experience is preferred, though training will be provided).
  • • Strong spreadsheet proficiency, particularly with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
  • • Exceptional attention to detail and a highly process-driven approach to tasks.
  • • Demonstrated ability to work independently with consistent accuracy and reliability.
