📋 Description

• • Be the operational backbone of a mission-driven scale-up that is redefining pet care and travel. As People Operations Executive you will own the day-to-day mechanics that let 100 brilliant, fully-remote teammates focus on delighting members in 140+ countries. Every contract you draft, dashboard you refresh and automation you launch directly fuels our audacious goal: one million members and one sit starting every minute.
• • Own the end-to-end pre-boarding & onboarding journey. You will generate compliant contracts, right-to-work packs and IT provisioning tickets in Zelt and G-Suite, then orchestrate external partners to ensure laptops, accounts and welcome gifts land on day one. You will continuously refine onboarding checklists, build Zapier reminders and craft AI-generated welcome videos so every new joiner feels confident, valued and productive within hours—not weeks.
• • Act as the single source of truth for the entire employee lifecycle. You will maintain pristine records across Zelt, Notion and Google Workspace, tracking probations, promotions, visa renewals and parental leave with zero surprises. Through your “People Ops Service Desk” and the #ask-peoplex Slack channel you will deliver same-day, human responses to policy, payroll and benefits queries, raising the bar for employee experience while protecting confidentiality.
• • Partner with the HR Advisor to run flawless monthly payroll and benefits cycles. You will collate variable inputs, validate statutory deductions and upload files to our payroll provider, then reconcile outputs back to Zelt. You will administer 25 days holiday, bank-holiday closures, pension enrolment and Bupa/Dental cover, ensuring every payslip is accurate, on time and easy to understand.
• • Safeguard compliance across employment law, GDPR and ISO-aligned InfoSec standards. You will conduct quarterly access audits with the InfoSec Manager, maintain secure leaver checklists and keep policy libraries evergreen. When regulations change, you will translate legalese into plain-English process updates and train managers via bite-size Loom videos.
• • Turn people data into strategic insight. You will own core dashboards covering headcount, attrition, absence, DEI and cost-to-hire, refreshing them weekly for the Exec team. Using Google Sheets, BigQuery and AI tools you will spot trends (e.g., rising absence in Engineering) and recommend targeted actions, then automate the next report so the cycle keeps getting faster.
• • Design and iterate low-code automations that eliminate busywork. Examples: auto-create Notion pages for each new hire, trigger Slack nudges when probation reviews are due, or use ChatGPT to summarise exit-interview themes. You will document every workflow in our public Notion playbook so teammates can self-serve and the function scales without extra headcount.
• • Manage respectful, insight-rich offboarding. You will coordinate exit interviews, revoke IT access, finalise payroll and send heartfelt farewells. Exit data will feed straight into retention dashboards, helping us refine culture, management and benefits for those who stay.
• • Champion cross-team collaboration. You will sit at the intersection of Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and IT, ensuring a seamless “hire-to-retire” experience. Through shadowing sessions and runbooks you will build redundancy so nothing falls through the cracks during holidays or hyper-growth spikes.
