You will be a constant, visible leader within your hospital, dedicated to advancing our culture, fostering team engagement, optimizing operational efficiency, driving growth, and ensuring robust financial health. Your primary focus will be on empowering your team, known as VEGgies, by equipping them with the necessary tools, unwavering support, continuous education, and the autonomy they need to excel and find fulfillment in their roles.
  • • You will leverage the established VEG framework to guide all decision-making processes, ensuring your hospital operates at the pinnacle of performance. Simultaneously, you will champion an inclusive workplace where every VEGgie feels a deep sense of belonging, takes immense pride in their contributions, and is inspired to refer friends and colleagues to join our exceptional team. A crucial aspect of your role involves cultivating strong, collaborative, and mutually beneficial partnerships with referring veterinarians and local businesses, solidifying VEG's position as the premier destination for emergency pet care within the community.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of talent management, from actively recruiting and hiring top-tier individuals to seamlessly onboarding new team members and providing ongoing professional development opportunities. This includes fostering a culture of continuous improvement, where feedback is actively sought and implemented to enhance patient care, client satisfaction, and team well-being.
  • • You will be the embodiment of VEG's values, demonstrating empathy in all interactions, taking a people-centric approach to support your colleagues, and actively seeking to understand diverse perspectives. A strong sense of humility will guide your leadership, acknowledging mistakes, readily sharing credit for successes, and consistently uplifting your team's achievements. You must be prepared to work in a dynamic, sometimes noisy environment, and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by hospital needs, reflecting the critical nature of emergency care. Your ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying personality types will be essential for fostering a harmonious and productive work environment.
