- • Analyze the financial and non-financial performance of new and existing eCommerce customers to understand the drivers behind their business performance, going beyond spreadsheets to assess real-world operations
- • Assess and quantify credit risk by evaluating eCommerce business models to determine appropriate funding levels while minimizing Wayflyer’s exposure
- • Participate in regular customer calls to gain direct insight into business models, funding needs, growth trajectories, and operational challenges
- • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to understand how customer relationships are won and maintained, and how to support healthy, long-term partnerships
- • Engage with Wayflyer’s loan portfolio to understand performance metrics, risk indicators, and the criteria for exiting high-risk relationships
- • Contribute to the development and testing of new underwriting processes and financial products, helping shape future systems rather than simply executing existing ones
- • Connect insights across departments to identify cross-functional opportunities and improve decision-making across finance, risk, and commercial teams
- • Develop judgment-based decision-making skills by interpreting data in context, asking probing questions, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders who challenge assumptions
- • Support the broader underwriting function by contributing to portfolio management, risk monitoring, and strategic initiatives that align with Wayflyer’s growth objectives
- • Operate in a fast-paced environment where funding decisions are made rapidly, requiring agility, critical thinking, and the ability to synthesize complex information under time pressure
- • Build a foundation for rapid career progression into senior roles in underwriting, portfolio strategy, or other commercial functions within the business
- • Work in a hybrid model with 3–4 days per week in the Dublin office, collaborating with global teams across London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin, and Sydney
- • Engage with a diverse, ambitious team of professionals who value curiosity, intellectual rigor, and a deep understanding of how businesses truly operate
- • Gain exposure to Tier 1 banking partners and institutional-grade financial systems while contributing to a platform that has deployed over $6bn in funding to businesses worldwide
🎯 Requirements
- • Completed or close to completing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law, or Computer Science
- • Strong academic record with ability to articulate academic achievements and motivations
- • Genuine curiosity about credit risk, eCommerce business models, and financial performance drivers
- • Comfort leading conversations in meetings, on calls, or during presentations, even when facing pushback
