📋 Description

  • • The Crewing Coordinator at FloSports plays a vital role in ensuring seamless live event production by managing the onboarding, hiring, and logistical support of contractors across multiple sports verticals, directly contributing to the delivery of high-quality streaming experiences for underserved sports communities.
  • • This role is essential to maintaining operational compliance and efficiency in contractor management, enabling FloSports to scale its live event coverage while upholding payroll accuracy, travel logistics, and cross-departmental alignment.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating and disseminating accurate information to the Director, Crewing Manager, Crewing Coordinators, and other departments involved in live event projects to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • • Managing contractor travel arrangements, crew sheets, payroll assistance, reimbursement resolution, and the distribution of information to appropriate parties, ensuring all logistics are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • • Ability to report up and manage across all departments, acting as a central point of contact for crewing-related inquiries and facilitating smooth communication between production, finance, HR, and operations teams.
  • • Coordinating the building of all show templates and ensuring payroll data is accurately entered and maintained in systems to support timely contractor compensation and financial reporting.
  • • Managing department systems and applications, including all aspects of contractor hiring (W2, 1099, position classification), travel arrangements for staff and freelance personnel, and maintaining compliance with labor and tax regulations.
  • • Making smart decisions based on provided information and seeking assistance when needed to maintain company compliance with contractor classification, payroll rules, and travel policies.
  • • Handling general crewing administration tasks such as onboarding new contractors, posting open job requisitions, managing bulk hires, and performing accurate data entry across multiple platforms.
  • • Possessing a background in basic live-sports production with familiarity in crewing processes preferred, along with a BS/BA degree preferred, to understand the unique demands of sports event logistics.
  • • Demonstrating a basic understanding of how to work with managers on budgets and complements, supporting financial planning and resource allocation for live events.
  • • Exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills, with the aptitude to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of management, from coordinators to executives.
  • • Maintaining intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to build financial spreadsheets using Excel and Google Sheets for tracking expenses, hours, and payroll data.
  • • Having knowledge of Salesforce, Worksuite, or eRecruit as a plus, to streamline contractor tracking, onboarding, and reporting workflows.
  • • Exhibiting excellent organizational skills while multitasking effectively, knowing when to ask for proper direction to ensure accuracy and adherence to processes.
  • • Acting as an independent thinker who can educate themselves using provided information, adapting quickly to new tools, procedures, and event-specific requirements.
  • • Being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while multitasking with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent follow-up to prevent errors in contractor onboarding or travel logistics.
  • • Contributing to FloSports’ mission of elevating overlooked sports communities by ensuring that production teams are fully staffed, compliant, and logistically supported to deliver exceptional fan experiences.
  • • Gaining hands-on experience in sports media operations, contractor management, and live event logistics, with opportunities to develop expertise in compliance, payroll systems, and cross-functional collaboration within a rapidly growing digital media company.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Background in basic live-sports production with crewing familiarity preferred
  • • BS/BA degree preferred
  • • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required, including ability to build financial spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask, prioritize, and seek direction when needed
