đź“‹ Description

  • • Are you a visionary product leader with a passion for disrupting established industries and a knack for turning complex challenges into elegant solutions? CRS Group Inc. is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Product Operator to spearhead a critical product line, driving it from initial concept through to market success and customer adoption. This is a unique opportunity to operate with significant autonomy, functioning as a General Manager across product management, sales, and implementation, with the potential to even spin out the product line into its own venture.
  • • At CRS Group Inc., we are on a mission to empower an equitable economy by providing modern technology and better access to regulated data. As a certified Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) for Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, we leverage 25 years of credit industry expertise combined with cutting-edge technology to drive positive change. Founded in 2019 as a subsidiary of Credit Reporting Services, Inc. (established in 2006), we possess deep bureau relationships and unique CRA privileges that grant us access and insights unavailable to others.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will co-own a product line alongside a top technical counterpart, ensuring a seamless transition from customer insight to a fully shipped product that delights signed customers. Your primary focus will be on the SBA 7(a) lending and data furnishing space, with exciting adjacent opportunities in underwriting and decisioning. If you have hands-on experience in these domains, can identify critical market gaps, and are eager to build and sell a solution with maximum agency, this is the perfect environment for you. We foster a flat, low-politics organization where initiative and impact are highly valued.
  • • Your responsibilities will be broad and impactful, encompassing the entire product lifecycle:
  • • **End-to-End Product Line Ownership:** Take full accountability for a specific product line, working in close partnership with a dedicated technical product owner. This collaborative relationship is key to translating vision into reality.
  • • **Customer-Centric Discovery:** Drive deep discovery sessions with potential and existing customers, as well as strategic partners, to uncover sharp, often surprising, insights that will inform product strategy and development.
  • • **Strategic Roadmap Development:** Translate the market learnings and customer insights gathered into a prioritized product roadmap, defining clear, crisp product requirements that guide the engineering team.
  • • **Sales Leadership:** Lead the sales motion for early lighthouse deals, from initial product demonstrations to closing complex, technical sales. Your ability to articulate value and build trust will be paramount.
  • • **Pipeline Generation:** Proactively build and nurture a robust sales pipeline through active participation in industry conferences, immersion in relevant communities, and targeted outreach efforts.
  • • **Implementation Oversight:** Oversee the initial implementations of the product with early customers, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and gathering feedback until processes become repeatable and scalable.
  • • **Customer Success Partnership:** Work closely with customer success teams to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and adoption, acting as a key point of contact during the critical early stages.
  • • **Rapid Iteration with Engineering:** Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ship rapid iterations of the product, focusing on features that unlock new revenue streams and drive user adoption.
  • • **Market Presence Establishment:** Take ownership of establishing a strong public presence for your product line, including developing a dedicated product subdomain on our website and creating compelling demo assets.
  • • **Bureau and Partner Navigation:** Leverage CRS Group's unique position to navigate complex bureau and partner relationships, unblocking critical data access and integration challenges.
  • • **Performance Definition and Cadence:** Define the key performance indicators (KPIs) for your product division and establish the operating cadence for tracking progress, making data-driven decisions.
  • • This role demands a high degree of initiative, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact, shape the future of a product line, and contribute to the growth of a company that is revolutionizing the credit industry. If you are ready to take on a role with substantial ownership and the potential for groundbreaking success, we encourage you to apply.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the fintech sector, with a strong focus on underwriting, decisioning, small business lending, or data furnishing.
  • • Demonstrated generalist capabilities across product management, sales, and business development, with a proven track record of success in these areas.
  • • History of successfully closing complex or technical deals and leading impactful implementations from start to finish.
  • • Clear evidence of high agency and ownership, with a history of delivering tangible outcomes in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
  • • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively align diverse stakeholders including executives, engineers, and customers.
  • • Comfort and proficiency in operating without layers of management in a fast-paced, founder-style culture.
  • • Willingness and ability to travel to industry conferences and key customer meetings as needed.
  • • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • • Nice-to-Haves:
  • • Prior experience as a founder or an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR).
  • • Proven ability to build scrappy prototypes using AI tools such as Claude.
  • • An established network and strong reputation within the fintech ecosystem.
  • • Previous experience working at a Credit Reporting Agency (CRA), a credit bureau, or having deep, established partnerships with credit bureaus.
  • • Familiarity with SBA 7(a) workflows, Loan Origination System (LOS) or Loan Management System (LMS) vendors, or data furnishing pipelines.
  • • Based in or willing to relocate to the New York City or San Francisco Bay Area.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive compensation package, reflecting your experience and impact.
  • • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to support your health and well-being.
  • • 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match to help you plan for the future.
  • • Unlimited Paid Leave Policy, empowering you with flexibility and work-life balance.
  • • Opportunity for significant career growth and professional development within a rapidly expanding company.
  • • Collaborative, inclusive, and energetic work environment where your contributions are valued and recognized.
