  • • As a Senior Project Manager within the ICP organization at Konecranes, you will assume a pivotal leadership role, responsible for cultivating and guiding a high-performing project management team. Your primary objective will be to ensure the delivery of a superior customer experience, meticulously overseeing every stage from initial order placement through to project execution. You will embody a leadership-by-example approach, actively coaching, developing, and mentoring your team members to achieve excellence in all facets of project delivery. This includes fostering strong stakeholder relationships and driving strategic project outcomes that align with the company's overarching goals.
  • • You will be instrumental in aligning your team's collective efforts with the broader organizational objectives, ensuring efficient workload capacity management, and serving as the primary escalation point for complex or high-impact project issues that require your seasoned expertise. Furthermore, you will step directly into a project management capacity when the scope, complexity, or resource demands of a particular project necessitate your direct involvement and leadership, ensuring that even the most challenging initiatives are handled with precision and strategic foresight.
  • • A core aspect of your role will be to drive operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle. This involves overseeing and managing the open project backlog with a keen eye for detail, ensuring proactive and accurate forecasting of sales performance on both a monthly and quarterly basis. You will be accountable for ensuring that all projects are appropriately assigned to team members and are delivered on time, within budget, and precisely to scope, maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality and ultimate customer satisfaction. When unforeseen challenges arise, you will be adept at engaging the right internal and external resources to address issues swiftly, communicate transparently and effectively with all stakeholders, and escalate strategically to guarantee timely and effective resolution.
  • • You will serve as a role model, embodying process discipline, fostering a culture of technical curiosity among your team, and championing the voice of the customer in all project-related activities. Your dedication to these principles will set the standard for the entire project management function. By championing timely and effective internal and external project kick-off meetings, you will ensure that all projects begin with a clear understanding of objectives, scope, and expectations, setting the stage for success from the outset.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to diligently monitoring and ensuring that all project deliverables, including scope, budget, and schedule, are consistently met and adhere to the highest standards. Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely project data and communications is paramount, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training, providing ongoing mentorship, and facilitating performance development for the project managers under your charge, nurturing their growth and enhancing their capabilities.
  • • You will play a critical role in establishing, implementing, and continuously improving standard operating procedures for project execution, thereby streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency. Owning and delivering accurate project forecasting and backlog reporting, meticulously aligned with monthly and quarterly sales targets, will be a key performance indicator. Proactively mitigating project risks through robust communication strategies and targeted training will be essential to preventing potential roadblocks and ensuring smooth project progression.
  • • Building and maintaining productive, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across various business units is crucial for seamless project execution and cross-functional alignment. You will lead annual planning and goal-setting initiatives, ensuring they are strategically aligned with the overall business strategy and contribute to the company's long-term vision. Driving continuous improvement across all project processes and enhancing the overall customer experience will be an ongoing mandate, reflecting a commitment to innovation and excellence.
  • • Ultimately, you will serve as the lead Project Manager for strategic, large-scale, or particularly complex projects as required, leveraging your extensive experience and leadership skills to navigate intricate challenges and deliver exceptional results. You will also perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute wherever needed to support the success of the ICP organization and Konecranes as a whole.
