- • Own end-to-end cultural engagement strategy across social media, creator partnerships, and influencer programs for Function Health, a category-defining health tech company.
- • Drive step-change growth in reach, engagement, and cultural relevance across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, Threads, and Facebook — incremental gains are not acceptable.
- • Build and execute an always-on, performance-driven social strategy that balances brand integrity with creative exploration and platform-native content formats.
- • Personally model best-in-class real-time engagement: on-brand, fast, human, and culturally aware, setting the standard for team behavior.
- • Set the creative bar with exceptional cultural judgment, creating original content formats and moments that lead rather than react to trends.
- • Own the full lifecycle of talent and creator relationships — from identification and vetting to negotiation, management, and performance evaluation — spanning micro-creators to high-profile partners.
- • Build a creator ecosystem aligned with Function’s brand values that targets early adopters, mainstream health consumers, and cultural tastemakers.
- • Partner with growth and performance teams to ensure influencer programs drive measurable acquisition, retention, and brand trust outcomes — not just vanity metrics.
- • Evaluate partnership fit through a cultural lens: prioritize alignment with where health culture is heading, not where it has been.
- • Develop infrastructure to scale creator and talent management efficiently across organic and paid efforts.
- • Bring proactive cultural intelligence to all initiatives: decode behavioral drivers behind audience actions, anticipate cultural shifts 12–24 months ahead, and define conditions for Function to own or create cultural moments.
- • Map and navigate cultural tensions (e.g., access vs. luxury, data empowerment vs. health-tech skepticism) to guide brand positioning with intention.
- • Lead and develop a team of five, including four direct reports across social, content, and creator partnerships — building systems that enable high-quality execution without constant oversight.
- • Raise the cultural fluency of the broader organization, ensuring cultural intelligence is embedded across teams, not siloed in one role.
- • Operate as a strategic partner to marketing, brand, creative, growth, communications, and product teams — influencing how stories are told and launched, not just posted.
- • Communicate clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners on performance, cultural rationale, and strategic direction.
- • Define and own key metrics for social and creator programs, tying outcomes directly to business goals: acquisition, retention, reach into new audiences, and brand trust.
- • Move with speed and precision: own decisions and results without sacrificing quality or accountability.
- • Write the playbook — this role is not about inheriting a system but building one from the ground up for a category-defining health brand.
- • Integrate social and creator strategies as one unified cultural engine — they are not siloed functions but two expressions of the same strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years owning social strategy, content, and creator or influencer programs at scale, ideally spanning both functions in one role
- • Proven track record of meaningful channel growth across multiple platforms and a creator program that drove real business outcomes
- • Experience leading and developing teams with at least 2–3 direct reports
- • Deep operating experience in real-time cultural moments, news cycles, launches, and live engagement
- • Strong analytical instincts and fluency tying social and creator performance to growth metrics
- • Experience managing creator and talent relationships across the full spectrum, from micro-creators to macro-influencers, organic and paid
