- • The Customer Care Pharmacy Technician serves as the primary point of contact for member calls, prior authorization inquiries, and escalations to the Clinical Prior Authorization Team, playing a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate pharmacy benefit support for members, prescribers, and pharmacies.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include actively intake prior authorization requests by asking clinical questions, advising callers on exception options (formulary, copay, early refill), triaging calls with professional phone etiquette, supporting Customer Service Representatives, communicating resolutions to stakeholders, ensuring HIPAA compliance, assisting with onboarding new staff, reviewing pharmacy claims for fraud/waste/abuse, and multitasking across systems using up to two monitors in a fast-paced remote environment.
