Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end creation and delivery of customer education assets including courses, playbooks, recordings, and learning materials for Ashby Academy.
- • Define the goal, audience, and format for each learning asset — translating complex Ashby workflows into clear, practical, outcome-oriented education that helps customers understand not just what to do, but why it matters.
- • Build, write, record, and refine content yourself — this is a hands-on maker role, not a coordination or management role.
- • Refresh and update existing Academy content to ensure alignment with current product functionality and customer workflows.
- • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Product Marketing, and Recruiting Operations Consulting to identify high-impact education opportunities and ensure content reflects real customer use cases.
- • Scope and ship 2–3 new major courses or playbooks per quarter, alongside ongoing maintenance and improvements to existing materials.
- • Experiment with lighter-weight learning formats such as in-app guidance, short tutorials, and just-in-time learning moments when appropriate.
- • Collaborate with subject matter experts to extract accurate, actionable insights and turn them into scalable educational content without losing momentum or clarity.
- • Apply strong judgment to determine when content should be deep and comprehensive versus lightweight and fast, based on customer needs and product impact.
- • Contribute to building systems, standards, and workflows that enable Customer Education to scale while maintaining high-quality, consistent learning experiences.
- • Measure success by customer engagement, adoption of taught workflows, and reduction in 1:1 support requests — not by volume of content shipped.
- • Work autonomously to frame problems, design solutions, and launch assets without needing fully mapped plans or rigid roadmaps.
- • Maintain deep Ashby fluency to coach users effectively and translate that understanding into accurate, useful educational content from day one.
- • Avoid quick hacks; prioritize high-quality, thoughtful work that delivers real customer value over optics or quantity.
- • Shape the future of Ashby’s Customer Education program by helping define how it evolves, rather than just maintaining an existing structure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep, hands-on experience using Ashby as a recruiter, recruiting operations practitioner, implementation specialist, CSM, or equivalent user with fluency in its workflows.
- • Proven ability to teach complex products or processes through writing, recording, or live instruction, and translate that into scalable educational content.
- • Strong writing skills with the ability to make complicated topics feel clear, practical, and actionable.
- • Comfort with recording voiceovers for customer-facing learning assets.
- • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and momentum amid shifting priorities.
- • Ability to work independently end-to-end — from problem framing through build and launch — without needing fully defined scope or direction.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year.
- • $100/month education budget with additional development opportunities supported by manager approval.
- • Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US.
- • 10-year exercise window for stock options.
- • Extended health benefits for you and your dependents (subject to availability with Employer of Record).
- • Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget.
