- • Kaplan is seeking a National Counselor Examination Subject Matter Expert to join as a Contractor to contribute to the development of test-like exam questions.
- • This is a remote and asynchronous opportunity, allowing the flexibility to complete the work outside of standard business hours.
- • As a vital member of our content development process, you will leverage your expertise and certification to review items and ensure the accuracy, relevance, and exam-like quality of our practice questions.
- • You will work collaboratively with our Content Specialists, providing insightful feedback and revisions to help candidates effectively prepare for their National Counselor Examination.
- • Responsibilities include reviewing batches of exam questions, evaluating questions against a provided checklist, making necessary revisions and improvements to questions, submitting marked-up Google Documents, ensuring all content is accurate, error-free, and current with the latest National Counselor Examination specifications, adhering to Kaplan's requested style guide, participating in Kaplan's standard content review cycle, rephrasing and revising content to align with test-likeness, responding to all review queries within 2 business days, and adhering to specified timelines for each batch of questions.
- • Minimum requirements include an active LPC or LMHC or higher in the relevant field, demonstrated deep understanding of official exam content, professional domain knowledge, and the exam format, strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, excellent written communication and editing skills, proficiency in using Google Docs and Google Drive, ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively in a remote environment, and reliable internet access and communication methods.
- • Preferred requirements include prior experience in instructional content development, particularly for the relevant exam, previous teaching or tutoring experience in the relevant subject area, and familiarity with principles of effective test question design.

🏖️ Benefits
- • Rate: $3 per problem reviewed.
- • Payment: Issued after all content feedback has been reviewed and approved by Kaplan and no questions remain.
- • Starting Batch: Review 10 questions due within 2 business days.
- • Following Batches: Review up to 75 questions within 3 business days.
- • Total Questions: 250 items with the possibility of more.
- • Commitment: Minimum of 8 hours per week, with a possibility of up to 20 hours total.
