  • • As a Customer Success Manager at OpenRouter, you will own a portfolio of hyper-growth enterprise accounts, driving adoption, unlocking outcomes and value, and leading inference growth by serving as the critical bridge between complex technical systems, clear business outcomes, and commercial growth in the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure landscape.
  • • You will get into the weeds of what customers are building—whether AI agents, coding tools, or other LLM-powered applications—to create tailored plans that help them maximize OpenRouter’s potential, translating strategic business goals into technical execution and vice versa on a daily basis.
  • • You will own the revenue lifecycle by leading commercial talks, identifying expansion opportunities across product lines, and ensuring customer retention and growth through proactive engagement, ROI analysis, and value realization frameworks.
  • • You will define and track concrete 'Success Criteria' for each customer, turning abstract AI ambitions into measurable outcomes like token efficiency, latency improvements, and cost optimization, positioning OpenRouter as a mission-critical partner in their AI strategy.
  • • You will act as the data-driven voice of the customer, distilling usage patterns, friction points, and feature requests into actionable insights for GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to shape product roadmap and prioritize development.
  • • You will build scalable playbooks and systems from recurring customer successes and challenges, enabling the team to efficiently support the next thousand customers while maintaining high-touch, strategic engagement.
  • • You will operate in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment where your direct impact on customer outcomes and company revenue is visible, rewarded, and central to OpenRouter’s mission of powering the next wave of AI-native innovation.

🎯 Requirements

  • • AI-Native DNA: Prior experience working at an AI-first company such as an LLM lab, AI infrastructure provider, or high-growth GenAI application, with deep understanding of tokens, latency, context windows, and model routing.
  • • Technical Platform Expertise: Background in technical SaaS or API-first platforms, with comfort engaging developers and product managers in technical discussions about integration, performance, and optimization.
  • • Revenue Focused: Proven track record of owning and achieving a quota, with demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving procurement, legal, and executive stakeholders to drive renewals and expansions.
  • • Playbook Builder: Experience creating repeatable systems, guides, and processes from customer interactions to scale success across a growing customer base.
  • • Strategic Agility: Ability to shift fluidly between high-level market analysis and deep technical details of customer implementations to drive both strategic and tactical outcomes.
  • • Commercial Grit: Proactive mindset toward renewals and expansions, viewing each as an opportunity to re-sell value and deepen partnership rather than a routine administrative task.
