  • • Design, build, and maintain internal customer support tooling and customer self-service solutions to enhance support efficiency and customer experience.
  • • Own and improve Zendesk configurations, workflows, automations, and integrations to streamline support operations and reduce manual effort.
  • • Build scalable integrations between support systems, product services, analytics platforms, and CRMs to enable seamless data flow and operational visibility.
  • • Partner closely with Customer Support teams to identify operational bottlenecks and deliver targeted technical solutions that reduce friction for both agents and customers.
  • • Improve system reliability, observability, and operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, testing, and comprehensive documentation of support tooling.
  • • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code to accelerate engineering workflows and improve code quality and productivity.
  • • Mentor fellow engineers by providing technical guidance, conducting design reviews, and promoting engineering best practices across the support tooling domain.
  • • Drive technical direction for support tooling initiatives with autonomy, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term system scalability and maintainability.
  • • Translate customer and support team feedback into actionable engineering priorities that directly impact support quality, resolution time, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams to align support tooling roadmap with broader product and business goals.
  • • Ensure all internal tooling adheres to security, privacy, and data governance standards while maintaining high availability and performance under load.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices using tools like Terraform to automate deployment and configuration management.
  • • Use data-driven insights from analytics platforms to inform decisions on automation opportunities, feature prioritization, and system optimization.
  • • Maintain a customer-centric mindset in all engineering decisions, ensuring that tooling improvements enhance the experience for both internal support agents and external customers.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or lead-level responsibilities
  • • Strong full-stack engineering skills with modern frontend technologies (React/TypeScript or similar) and backend systems (Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Python, or Go)
  • • Experience owning production systems end-to-end, including operational concerns and system reliability
  • • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • • Experience working with APIs, integrations, observability tooling, and data-driven decision-making
  • • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code
