- • Work alongside the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team to gain hands-on experience in cyber threat analysis, reporting, and intelligence operations within a real-world enterprise environment.
- • Learn and apply core concepts of cyber threat intelligence including the intelligence lifecycle, threat actor TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- • Assist in identifying, enriching, and contextualizing indicators of compromise (IOCs) using open-source tools and commercial threat intelligence platforms.
- • Shadow Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts to understand alert triage workflows and how threat intelligence directly informs defensive operations.
- • Support the creation of threat actor profiles, threat notices, and campaign briefs under the guidance of experienced CTI professionals.
- • Facilitate information sharing and feedback between the CTI team and SOC to align intelligence outputs with operational needs and detection capabilities.
- • Participate in the development of actionable intelligence products tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Contribute to CTI team processes by observing workflows and identifying opportunities for operational improvement and integration.
- • Engage in daily intelligence gathering activities focused on emerging threats, adversary behavior, and campaign tracking.
- • Receive structured mentorship from seasoned CTI analysts to build practical skills in threat intelligence tradecraft.
- • Complete a capstone project demonstrating applied threat intelligence skills developed during the internship.
- • Gain exposure to enterprise cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms through direct use in supported tasks.
- • Understand how threat intelligence drives incident response, hunting, and proactive defense strategies within a high-performance cybersecurity team.
- • Work a standardized schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET, in alignment with operational team hours.
- • Collaborate in a culture that emphasizes high-quality execution, ownership, and strong moral principles in all cybersecurity operations.
- • Participate in a structured program designed to transition active-duty military personnel into civilian cybersecurity careers through practical, on-the-job training.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active duty service member approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge program.
- • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and terminology.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a professional environment.
- • Must have at least 180 continuous days of active service and 180 days or fewer remaining prior to separation.
