- • The Cyber Threat Intelligence Intern supports the Operations, Intelligence, and Services department within the Cyber Threat Intelligence team at the Center for Internet Security, Inc., contributing to the 24x7 Security Operations Center that monitors and responds to cyber incidents affecting state, local, tribal, and territorial governments.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include performing basic analysis of data from various sources, utilizing the Security Operations Threat Intelligence Platform, integrating and sharing information with analysts and teams, assisting in applying U.S. Intelligence Community analytical standards, and helping draft cyber threat intelligence products on cybersecurity topics.
- • The team operates within CIS’s MS-ISAC initiative, which focuses on enhancing the cybersecurity posture of SLTT governments through information sharing, analysis, and incident response, offering interns exposure to real-world threat intelligence operations in a mission-driven environment.
- • The intern will gain hands-on experience in cyber threat analysis, intelligence product development, and platform utilization while developing professional communication and collaboration skills in a remote, structured internship setting.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2 years of study in Cybersecurity, Cyber Intelligence, Computer Science or a related field
- • Knowledge of common Internet protocols, applications, and cyber threats
- • Knowledge of basic analysis and intelligence analysis techniques
- • Strong oral and written communication skills
- • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- • Must be authorized to work in the United States
