- • The Cybersecurity Advisor (SA) serves as a trusted partner to Optiv’s clients, combining sales expertise with deep security practitioner knowledge to design scalable, defensible security programs focused on Data Protection and AI solutions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with service delivery teams, advising clients on security strategy and roadmaps, maintaining stakeholder relationships, conducting requirements gathering and technology evaluations, coordinating demonstrations, and participating in account planning, forecasting, and proposal management.
- • The role operates within Optiv’s Field Center of Excellence, partnering with internal teams and technology partners to align client expectations with Optiv’s solution portfolio and ensure service delivery excellence.
- • The advisor continuously develops technical and soft skills through formal education and certifications, contributes to thought leadership, and supports continuous improvement by sharing client feedback with internal teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • BS/BA degree or equivalent applicable work experience
- • Minimum of five (5) years in an information security role, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer focused on Data Protection/AI
- • Experience assessing, building, and supporting data protection programs, including PII and PCI data, within cloud environments
- • Working knowledge of professional security frameworks: NIST 800-53 & CSF, ISO Series, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), and/or Center for Information Security (CIS)
- • Strong business and technical acumen with ability to lead technology-focused discussions and present solutions via whiteboarding and other mechanisms
- • Proficient sales techniques including reading the room, overcoming objections, gaining trust, and assisting in sale finalization
