📋 Description

• As Cybersecurity Programs & Delivery Lead at dLocal, you will serve as the strategic execution engine of the security department, translating the CISO’s vision into structured, measurable, and relentlessly driven delivery—operating as a senior individual contributor directly in the CISO’s office with executive sponsorship and political cover to remove blockers and drive outcomes.
• You will own the operational backbone that connects strategy to execution, ambiguity to structure, and initiative to outcome, working as a peer alongside department heads who own technical depth while you ensure programs are delivered end-to-end with rigor, accountability, and impact across the global security function.
• You will design, lead, and govern cross-functional cybersecurity programs—including risk management, compliance frameworks, incident response readiness, security awareness, and third-party risk—ensuring alignment with business objectives in 40+ emerging markets where dLocal enables global merchants to scale payments securely.
• You will establish metrics, KPIs, and reporting cadences to measure program effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and provide actionable insights to security leadership and executive stakeholders, turning security from a cost center into a measurable business enabler.
• You will act as a force multiplier across the security department by identifying gaps, prioritizing initiatives based on risk and business impact, and driving adoption of security practices through influence, not authority—leveraging your expertise to elevate team performance without direct reports.
• You will collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and compliance teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud infrastructure, and payment processing systems, ensuring security scales with dLocal’s hyper-growth in complex regulatory environments.
• You will represent dLocal’s security posture in audits, regulatory engagements, and customer due diligence processes, helping maintain trust with global enterprise clients operating in high-risk, high-growth emerging markets.
• You will mentor and uplift team members through knowledge sharing, best practice dissemination, and coaching—fostering a culture of ownership, proactive risk management, and continuous learning within the lean, high-impact security team.
• You will contribute to dLocal’s mission of enabling global brands to safely expand into emerging markets by ensuring security is not a barrier but a competitive advantage—directly impacting millions of daily transactions and the financial inclusion of underserved populations.
• You will grow as a strategic security leader in a fast-paced, innovative fintech environment, gaining exposure to global payment systems, cross-border regulatory landscapes, and cutting-edge threat landscapes—positioning yourself at the forefront of cybersecurity in emerging markets.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading end-to-end cybersecurity programs (e.g., GRC, risk management, incident response, vendor risk, security awareness) in fast-paced, regulated, or high-growth technology environments.
• Deep subject-matter expertise in cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2, PCI DSS) and practical application in cloud-native, payment processing, or fintech contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives without direct authority—using influence, data, and storytelling to align stakeholders and deliver outcomes across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong analytical and metrics-driven mindset: experience defining, tracking, and reporting on security KPIs, SLAs, and risk indicators to inform executive decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts into clear business language for executives, engineers, auditors, and customers.
• Experience working in global, multicultural environments—preferably with exposure to emerging markets, Latin America, or cross-border regulatory complexity.
