📋 Description

• • Own the data backbone for Agoda’s Languages & Content team, turning billions of user interactions, translations, and content assets into clear, actionable insights that shape how 40+ million monthly travelers experience our platform in 38 languages.
• • Design and maintain scalable SQL pipelines that ingest raw text, translation memory, A/B test results, and NLP model outputs; transform them into clean, analysis-ready datasets in Snowflake and BigQuery so every stakeholder—from linguists to product managers—can self-serve reliable data within minutes, not days.
• • Build interactive dashboards in Tableau, Looker, and Superset that visualize content quality scores, translation ROI, and language-specific conversion funnels; empower regional teams to spot under-performing locales, prioritize fixes, and measure uplift in real time.
• • Partner with machine-learning engineers to evaluate the impact of automated translation, sentiment analysis, and generative-AI copy on booking rates; run rigorous statistical tests, surface confidence intervals, and recommend model retraining schedules that balance cost, speed, and traveler delight.
• • Conduct deep-dive exploratory analyses to uncover why certain hotel descriptions or destination pages resonate in Thai but fall flat in German; translate findings into concrete copy guidelines, glossary updates, and CMS rules that raise NPS and reduce refund requests.
• • Create forecasting models that predict content demand spikes during festivals, sporting events, and policy changes; feed forecasts into workforce-planning tools so our global network of translators and copywriters is neither over-staffed nor scrambling at crunch time.
• • Champion data governance and documentation: define naming conventions, lineage diagrams, and freshness SLAs so every table, column, and dashboard is discoverable, trustworthy, and compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and local data-protection laws.
• • Collaborate with Finance to quantify the dollar value of improved content quality—linking higher star-rating accuracy or clearer amenity lists to incremental revenue—and secure budget for new CMS features, neural MT engines, and human post-editing where ROI is highest.
• • Present insights to C-suite executives in concise, story-driven decks; translate complex regressions into “what it means for the traveler” narratives that secure buy-in for global rollouts.
• • Mentor junior analysts and data scientists across Bangkok, Singapore, and remote hubs; run fortnightly “SQL dojos” and dashboard-clinics that up-skill the entire Content organization and create a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
