You will be responsible for the hands-on management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our data center facilities, encompassing a wide range of critical systems including power, cooling, cabling, and physical security. Your day-to-day activities will involve proactive monitoring of infrastructure health, responding to incidents with speed and efficiency, and implementing preventative measures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity. • • Responding to and resolving critical infrastructure alerts and incidents in a timely and effective manner, often under pressure, to minimize impact on services and customer experience.
  • • Executing planned maintenance activities, upgrades, and installations of data center hardware, including server racks, network equipment, and power distribution units, adhering to strict change control procedures.
  • • Managing and maintaining the physical network infrastructure, including structured cabling systems (copper and fiber optic), ensuring proper termination, testing, and documentation.
  • • Collaborating closely with internal IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and security personnel, to support their infrastructure requirements and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • • Implementing and enforcing data center security policies and procedures, including access control, surveillance monitoring, and physical security measures, to protect our valuable assets.
  • • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of the data center environment, including asset inventory, network diagrams, and operational procedures, to facilitate efficient management and knowledge transfer.
  • • Participating in capacity planning and forecasting for power, cooling, and space, ensuring that the data center can scale to meet future business demands.
  • • Conducting root cause analysis for infrastructure-related incidents and developing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • • Staying abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to data center operations and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
  • • Assisting in the commissioning and decommissioning of data center equipment and services.
  • • Performing regular audits of the data center environment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal standards.
  • • Contributing to the development and refinement of disaster recovery and business continuity plans as they relate to the physical infrastructure.
  • • Providing on-call support as required, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring 24/7 operational integrity.
  • • Proactively identifying opportunities for infrastructure optimization and cost savings without compromising performance or reliability.
  • • Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the data center facilities at all times.
  • • Working effectively as part of a remote team, leveraging communication tools to maintain seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • • Supporting the implementation of new data center technologies and methodologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • • Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines, to maintain a secure and productive workplace.
  • • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the bet365 business operations to better align data center support with strategic objectives.
  • • Engaging in continuous learning and professional development to maintain a high level of technical expertise in the ever-evolving field of data center management.
  • • This role offers a challenging yet rewarding career path within a company that values innovation, performance, and employee growth. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on a global scale, working with cutting-edge technology and alongside a team of highly skilled professionals.
