• • As a Data Engineer on our Data Platform team, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines and systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, operations specialists, data analysts, and algorithm engineers, to deeply understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions. Your work will directly impact our ability to extract, process, and utilize intelligence from vast amounts of data, driving innovation and enhancing our AI-powered productivity tools.
• • A core aspect of your role will involve championing and implementing data governance best practices. This includes meticulous metadata management, ensuring data security and integrity, and actively pursuing cost optimization strategies for our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for promoting the adoption and adherence to these principles across the organization, ensuring our data assets are reliable, accessible, and secure.
• • You will also contribute significantly to the platformization and productization of our data development tools. This involves enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of data development workflows through improved scheduling, monitoring, and governance tools. Your efforts will streamline the data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to analysis and reporting, empowering our teams with timely and accurate data insights.
• • This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, with a strong emphasis on data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and practical application of data governance frameworks. You will leverage your expertise in the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, MapReduce, Yarn, and Hive, and demonstrate proficiency in at least one major computing engine such as Spark or Flink, with a proven track record of performance tuning.
• • You will be expected to be adept at using and understanding the underlying principles of various data platform tools, covering critical areas like job scheduling, metadata management, data lineage tracking, data synchronization mechanisms, data quality control (DQC), and service level agreements (SLA).
