đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Data Engineer at Maneuver Marketing LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of the company’s data infrastructure, directly enabling data-driven decision-making for high-growth DTC health and wellness brands serving over 3 million customers globally.
  • • You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing data pipelines, monitoring data quality, managing costs, and ensuring compliance — all while collaborating with technical and business teams to support scalable analytics in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • • The Data Engineering team at Maneuver Marketing is a small, high-impact group focused on operational excellence, where your work directly influences the trustworthiness of data used by marketing, finance, product, and leadership teams to drive growth and innovation.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud data warehousing (BigQuery), ETL orchestration (Daton/Fivetran), data validation frameworks, and cost optimization — gaining hands-on experience with real-world e-commerce data ecosystems at scale.
  • • Monitor, build, and respond to Daton pipeline notifications and alerts to ensure end-to-end data pipeline reliability and timely issue resolution.
  • • Track data latency, freshness, and completeness across all source systems (Shopify, GA4, Meta, Klaviyo, Google Ads, Loop, etc.) to guarantee data is available and accurate for downstream reporting.
  • • Design, build, and maintain QC processors for all source data and custom reports, implementing automated validation checks including null checks, duplicate detection, range/boundary validation, and referential integrity.
  • • Monitor job execution at pipeline, QC/validation, and API/source system levels; investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with vendors or internal teams when issues originate upstream.
  • • Create and enhance data pipelines, onboard new platform integrations, and implement logic changes to existing pipelines while maintaining detailed documentation and change logs.
  • • Optimize query performance and warehouse costs by monitoring BigQuery billing alerts, maintaining cost dashboards, implementing table partitioning/clustering, and optimizing incremental loads and expensive queries.
  • • Proactively flag high-cost queries via Slack and collaborate with teams to tune performance without sacrificing data accuracy or availability.
  • • Monitor and respond to source schema and data-type changes, API limits, downtime, or auth failures; assess business impact and classify incidents as P0/P1 when required.
  • • Maintain GDPR, CCPA, and related compliance controls; manage RBAC and column-level security in BigQuery; ensure PII masking and access restrictions.
  • • Respond to security incidents related to data access or credentials, and maintain audit-ready documentation for compliance purposes.
  • • Maintain documentation for pipelines, tables, business logic, and operational runbooks; update test cases for logic or schema changes; document incident RCA and resolutions.
  • • Manage logic and schema change requests from business teams through structured change management processes.
  • • Perform daily validation of critical metrics against source UIs to ensure KPI consistency across raw, transformed, and reporting layers.
  • • Implement anomaly detection for key tables and metrics to proactively identify data drift or outliers before they impact business decisions.
  • • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex data issues into actionable insights.
  • • Work independently in a remote setup with strong ownership mindset, proactive troubleshooting, and disciplined documentation practices.
  • • Adapt to flexible scheduling (full-time or 15–20 hours/week part-time) with preferred overlap during Singapore business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM SGT) for real-time collaboration and incident response.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Strong Google BigQuery expertise including SQL optimization, partitioning, and clustering
  • • Experience with ETL tools such as Daton, Fivetran, or similar platforms
  • • Pipeline monitoring and alerting experience with proven ability to investigate failures and perform root cause analysis
  • • Strong SQL skills for debugging, validation, and troubleshooting production data issues
  • • E-commerce data experience with Shopify, GA4, Meta, Klaviyo, Google Ads, or similar platforms preferred
  • • Experience maintaining production data systems in a reliable, scalable manner
  • • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) skills
  • • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • • Strong documentation discipline for pipelines, schema, logic, and incident resolution

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Opportunity to work with a high-growth DTC brand that has achieved USD$100M+ in annual sales and was ranked among APAC’s top High-Growth Companies by the Financial Times
  • • Fully remote work arrangement with flexibility to choose full-time or part-time (15–20 hrs/week) engagement
  • • Exposure to cutting-edge e-commerce data stack including BigQuery, Daton, dbt, Shopify, GA4, Meta, and Klaviyo
  • • Collaborative culture with A-players focused on innovation, data integrity, and measurable impact on consumer health and wellness
  • • Clear response time expectations (P0: 2hrs, P1: 4hrs, P2: 24hrs) enabling structured workload management and work-life balance
  • • Professional growth in data reliability, cost optimization, security/compliance, and automated validation within a real-world, high-volume data environment
