- • As a Data Engineer at Maneuver Marketing LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of the company’s data infrastructure, directly enabling data-driven decision-making for high-growth DTC health and wellness brands serving over 3 million customers globally.
- • Your work will support the operational backbone of a rapidly scaling company recognized by the Financial Times as one of APAC’s top high-growth companies and awarded 2nd place at the E50 Awards, making your contributions visible and impactful in a mission-driven, innovation-focused environment.
- • Monitor, build, and respond to Daton pipeline notifications and alerts to ensure data pipelines run reliably and data remains fresh, accurate, and available as expected.
- • Track data latency, freshness, and completeness across all source systems including Shopify, GA4, Meta, Klaviyo, Google Ads, and Loop, and design, build, and maintain QC processors for all source data and custom reports.
- • Investigate pipeline failures at the pipeline, QC/validation, and API/source system levels, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with source system owners and vendors when issues originate upstream.
- • Create and enhance data pipelines, onboard new platform integrations, and implement logic changes to existing pipelines while maintaining documentation for all logic, schema, and pipeline changes with a continuously updated change log.
- • Implement and maintain automated data quality checks (source + reports) including null checks, duplicate detection, range & boundary checks, valid value checks, referential integrity checks, and business-logic validations for key KPIs.
- • Perform daily validation of critical metrics against source UIs and ensure KPI consistency across raw, transformed, and reporting layers, implementing anomaly detection for key tables and metrics.
- • Monitor and respond to billing alerts for BigQuery, dbt, and ETL tools, maintain cost monitoring dashboards, and optimize warehouse performance through table partitioning, clustering, incremental load optimization, and expensive query tuning.
- • Proactively flag high-cost queries via Slack and optimize query performance where applicable to ensure sustainable data operations.
- • Monitor and respond to source schema and data-type changes, handle source delays caused by API limits, downtime, or auth failures, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve upstream issues.
- • Assess business impact and classify incidents as P0/P1 when required, ensuring proactive management of issues originating from upstream systems.
- • Maintain GDPR, CCPA, and related compliance controls, manage RBAC and column-level security in BigQuery, ensure PII masking and access restrictions, and respond to security incidents related to data access or credentials.
- • Maintain documentation for pipelines, tables, and business logic, update test cases for logic or schema changes, document incident RCA and resolutions, maintain operational runbooks, and manage logic and schema change requests from business teams.
- • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders using clear communication, demonstrate a proactive, ownership-driven mindset, and work independently in a remote setup with strong documentation discipline.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong Google BigQuery expertise including SQL optimization, partitioning, and clustering
- • Experience with ETL tools such as Daton, Fivetran, or similar platforms
- • Pipeline monitoring and alerting experience with strong SQL skills for debugging and validation
- • E-commerce data experience with Shopify, GA4, Meta, Klaviyo, Google Ads, or Loop preferred
- • Experience maintaining production data systems and strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) skills
- • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and ability to work independently in a remote setup
