• • **Shape the backbone of a rocket-ship startup.** Ace 1 Media has quadrupled its headcount in six months and achieved 3× YoY revenue growth and 4× net-profit growth. As our Data Engineer Intern you will not fetch coffee—you will architect the data infrastructure that powers every strategic decision we make.
• • **Design, build, and own production-grade data pipelines.** From day one you will help create scalable ingestion workflows that pull data from marketing platforms, product telemetry, advertising APIs, and finance systems into our cloud warehouse. You will write clean, testable Python/SQL code, leverage Apache Airflow for orchestration, and ensure every pipeline is observable, idempotent, and cost-efficient.
• • **Turn raw chaos into business-ready insight.** You will wrangle messy JSON logs, CSV dumps, and third-party extracts into well-modeled dimensional tables. Expect to profile data quality, write automated validation tests, and partner with analysts to deliver datasets that answer questions such as customer lifetime value, campaign attribution, and churn prediction.
• • **Optimize storage and compute for speed and savings.** You will benchmark Redshift vs. BigQuery vs. Snowflake, tune sort and dist keys, implement incremental loads, and introduce dbt for version-controlled transformations. Your work will directly lower our monthly cloud bill while cutting query latency from minutes to seconds.
• • **Automate everything that can be automated.** Whether it is spinning up ephemeral dev environments with Terraform, scheduling DAGs via CI/CD, or alerting on schema drift, you will script repeatable solutions so the team can focus on insight instead of firefighting.
• • **Collaborate across the full stack.** You will sit in on product stand-ups to understand new event tracking needs, pair with data scientists to productionize ML feature stores, and demo dashboards to executives. Our open-door policy means your ideas—like adopting lake-house architecture or real-time streaming—will be heard, debated, and often implemented within days.
• • **Document and share knowledge.** You will maintain a living data catalog, write concise READMEs, and host lunch-and-learns on topics ranging from window functions to cost attribution tags. By the end of your internship, the next cohort should ramp up using the artifacts you leave behind.
