• • In this crucial role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful professional development sessions, both virtually and potentially in-person, designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills to utilize MagicSchool's AI tools. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping teachers understand best practices, explore innovative instructional applications, and build confidence in using AI to support their teaching and student learning.
• • This is a contract position offering significant flexibility, with hours directly correlating to the demand for professional learning. The role is inherently seasonal, characterized by periods of high volume, particularly during the summer months and other peak times within the academic calendar, interspersed with quieter phases. Therefore, consistent availability during these critical peak periods is paramount. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate availability before, during, and after standard school hours within their respective time zones, ensuring we can meet the needs of our educational partners across different schedules.
• • The primary objective of the Professional Learning Facilitator is to deliver MagicSchool's professional learning content with unwavering consistency and exceptional quality. You will be expected to master our established curriculum, build deep fluency with the MagicSchool platform, and develop strong confidence in facilitating dynamic virtual professional development environments. This role is an excellent opportunity to hone your facilitation skills while contributing to a meaningful educational mission.
• • Your typical facilitation scope will encompass a range of engagements, starting with introductory and foundational virtual PD sessions that provide a solid grounding in AI for education. You will lead platform overviews, guiding participants through core MagicSchool workflows and functionalities. As you grow in the role, there may be opportunities for co-facilitation or shadowing in more advanced sessions, allowing you to expand your expertise. Initially, you will focus on lower-stakes, standardized engagements, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for all participants.
• • Key responsibilities include the faithful delivery of pre-designed MagicSchool PD sessions, adhering to established content and facilitation guides. While fidelity is key, you will also implement light customization using approved materials, ensuring relevance for diverse audiences. You will serve as a vital representative of MagicSchool, embodying our commitment to being a trusted thought partner and expert facilitator for educators. Your insights will be invaluable in supporting instructional material updates and contributing to the collection of crucial feedback from participants, which directly informs our product and service development.
• • To ensure seamless program delivery, you will be responsible for completing all required logistics. This includes sending pre/post-session reminders to participants, managing feedback mechanisms, and overseeing reflection processes to maximize learning outcomes. Furthermore, active participation in required contractor meetings and calibration sessions is essential to maintain alignment, share best practices, and ensure a cohesive approach to professional development across our facilitator network.
• • We are looking for individuals who possess a strong foundation in education, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of current or former classroom experience, or equivalent educational roles. Crucially, you must demonstrate MagicSchool platform fluency, having completed any required certifications. Proven expertise in facilitating adult learners, whether in virtual or in-person settings, is a must. You should possess an exceptional facilitation presence, characterized by strong instructional judgment, clear and professional communication skills, and unwavering reliability.
