You will work at both a strategic and hands-on level, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, and importantly, engaging directly with clients in a client-facing capacity.
• • As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of data at our client organizations. Your responsibilities will span across strategic architecture leadership, client value creation, and technical implementation. You will partner directly with specific clients, helping them define their modern data architecture strategies and ensuring the successful delivery of data solutions that drive business growth and innovation.
• • **Strategic Architecture Leadership:** You will define the vision and roadmap for large-scale data architecture across various client engagements. This includes establishing comprehensive governance, security frameworks, and ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance standards. A key aspect of this role is leading platform selection, integration, and scalability decisions, guiding organizations in adopting cutting-edge data lakehouse architectures and federated data models. Your strategic insights will be crucial in navigating the complexities of modern data landscapes and setting clients on a path to data maturity.
• • **Client Value Creation:** You will lead technical discovery sessions to deeply understand client needs and challenges. A critical skill will be your ability to translate complex technical architectures into clear, actionable value propositions for stakeholders at all levels. • • **Technical Architecture & Implementation:** This is a hands-on role where you will design and implement modern data lakehouse architectures, with a strong emphasis on technologies like Delta Lake and Databricks. You will build and manage scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, leveraging Spark (PySpark preferred) and modern data pipeline orchestration tools. Experience with Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, and schema evolution capabilities will be essential for building resilient and adaptable data systems.
• • You will optimize storage and queries on cloud object storage platforms such as AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Google Cloud Storage. Integration with cloud-native services like AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow, and Azure Synapse will be a core part of your work. Furthermore, you will implement robust data quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and schema versioning to ensure data integrity and traceability. Building orchestrated pipelines using tools like Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or Google Cloud Composer will be key to automating and managing data workflows efficiently.

You will design and lead Proofs of Concept (POCs) and technical pilots to validate new approaches and technologies.
