- • As a Data Engineer (w/m/d) in the Hyperscaler-agnostic Data & AI Area at Public Cloud Group AG, you will be a driving force in building modern data platforms for clients across Europe, designing and implementing scalable data warehouse and lakehouse solutions using a best-of-breed approach.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include architecting future-proof data landscapes, developing efficient ETL/ELT pipelines, structuring valuable data models with tools like dbt or Dataform, managing stakeholder interfaces, evaluating and selecting optimal data technologies, and mentoring junior/mid-level engineers while shaping data governance and best practices.
- • You will work within an internal delivery team of nearly 500 cloud experts across 21 European locations, collaborating on genuine team-based projects without bodyleasing, in a culture that values deep cloud expertise and innovation across AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and SAP environments.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern data platforms, gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like BigQuery, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric, develop leadership and mentoring skills, and contribute to impactful analytics and BI solutions that deliver real business value to clients.
🎯 Requirements
- • Several years of experience in data engineering with comfort in modern cloud environments
- • Strong command of SQL and deep understanding of data warehouse and data lakehouse architectures (including Iceberg, Delta, Hudi formats)
- • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric/Synapse
- • Proficiency in data modeling and transformation using tools like dbt or Dataform
- • Practical experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau for data visualization
- • Strong consulting and communication skills to advise clients, explain complex architectures clearly, and holistically understand use cases
