• • As our platform experiences significant growth and scales to meet increasing demand, we are establishing our first dedicated data engineering function. This is a pivotal moment for Battle Road, as we aim to unlock the immense potential of the rich simulation data generated by AtomEngine. This data encompasses event streams, telemetry, state snapshots, and detailed scenario metadata, much of which is currently underutilized.
• • We are making a strategic investment in building a scalable, robust cloud data platform. This platform will serve as the intelligence backbone of our simulation capabilities, designed to capture, normalize, and transform high-volume simulation outputs into clean, trusted datasets. Key objectives include enabling sophisticated scenario comparison and replay functionalities, supporting advanced analytics and AI workflows, enhancing the explainability and traceability of simulations, and ultimately powering both internal product development and customer-facing insights.
• • This role represents a unique greenfield opportunity for a visionary Data Engineering Lead to architect, build, and own this critical data infrastructure from the ground up. You will be instrumental in shaping how we leverage data to drive innovation, improve our product, and deliver exceptional value to our military clients.
• • As the Data Engineering Lead, your primary responsibility will be to architect and lead the development of Battle Road’s data platform. This will involve designing and implementing our AWS-based data warehouse and ingestion pipelines, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and performant. You will be responsible for transforming the raw, high-volume simulation outputs into structured, clean, and trustworthy datasets that can be readily consumed by various stakeholders.
• • A crucial aspect of your role will be establishing clear schema standards and data contracts in collaboration with the broader engineering team. This ensures data consistency, quality, and interoperability across the platform.
