- • This role is for a Data Governance Engineer within our dynamic Data Platform Team. You will operate at the critical intersection of data engineering, platform operations, and governance enablement, playing a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's data is not only accessible but also meticulously documented, auditable, and consistently reliable.
- • Your primary objective will be to support and enhance the foundational capabilities that empower teams to trust and leverage data at scale. This includes driving initiatives in metadata management, data lineage tracking, data quality assurance, process automation, and enabling self-serve analytics for our internal stakeholders.

- • You will be instrumental in supporting and advancing our metadata and catalog initiatives. This involves detailed work such as column-level tagging, comprehensive dataset documentation, and clear ownership attribution, ensuring clarity and accountability across our data assets.
- • Contribute significantly to the development and refinement of our data lineage and governance practices. Your efforts will directly improve our audit readiness and enhance visibility into data flows across all pipelines and products, fostering a more transparent and compliant data environment.
- • Play a key role in supporting and maintaining our Airflow DAGs. This includes executing simple pipeline modifications, addressing operational issues, and implementing automation tasks to streamline data workflows.
- • Assist in the management of CI/CD workflows specifically related to data pipelines, deployments, and platform tooling. Your contributions will help ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes.
- • You will actively help improve the reliability and consistency of our data pipelines. This involves close collaboration with senior engineers on implementing enhancements and resolving critical fixes, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- • Contribute to the automation of reports and dashboards, a crucial step in enabling self-serve analytics for internal teams. This empowers users to access and interpret data independently, driving faster decision-making.
- • Support the widespread adoption of data governance standards across various teams. This includes championing best practices in documentation, establishing clear processes, and facilitating the effective use of governance tooling.
- • Provide essential support to internal stakeholders by assisting with ad-hoc data-related questions, identifying and implementing process improvements, and contributing to platform-related enhancements that improve the overall data ecosystem.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data governance, data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related technical role.
- • Hands-on experience with core data governance concepts, including metadata management, data lineage (dataset- and column-level), and data catalogs (e.g., DataHub or similar tooling).
- • Practical experience supporting or contributing to governance initiatives, such as defining documentation standards, establishing ownership models, or implementing data quality practices.
- • Strong Python fundamentals, applicable to automation, metadata ingestion, or developing governance-related tooling.
- • Solid SQL skills for data discovery, validation, and audit support.
- • Basic understanding of end-to-end data pipeline operations, sufficient to reason about lineage, dependencies, and data quality.
- • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow in a support or operational capacity.
