📋 Description
- • Lonza is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Information Architect to play a pivotal role in its global S/4HANA transformation program, codenamed 'Nexus'. This critical position will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and governing the master data landscape that underpins Lonza's global Inbound-to-Outbound (I2O) and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and quality across the organization, directly impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain and logistics processes.
- • The core of this role revolves around deep expertise in data modelling, master data governance, and end-to-end data quality management. You will be responsible for architecting and maintaining the logistics-related data model within S/4HANA, ensuring it adheres to global standards and promotes consistency across all business units. This involves not just the technical design but also the strategic implementation of master data governance processes and workflows, leveraging SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to establish robust controls and best practices.
- • A significant aspect of your contribution will be supporting the deployment activities of the Nexus program. This includes ensuring data readiness for S/4HANA rollouts, leading data cleansing initiatives, meticulously mapping existing data to new structures, and validating data integrity post-migration. Your efforts will be crucial in minimizing disruption and maximizing the value derived from the new S/4HANA system.
- • You will be tasked with defining comprehensive data quality rules and establishing mechanisms for continuous monitoring and improvement. Proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues will be a key performance indicator, ensuring that the logistics data remains a reliable foundation for decision-making and operational execution.
- • Collaboration is central to this role. You will work in close partnership with process owners, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), local site teams, and external implementation partners. This cross-functional collaboration is essential to ensure alignment across all data domains and to foster a shared understanding of data requirements and governance principles.
- • The role demands a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, with a strong focus on delivering tangible results in a dynamic and evolving transformation environment. You will be expected to influence stakeholders at all levels within a complex matrix organization, advocating for data best practices and driving consensus on data architecture decisions.
- • This is an opportunity to shape the future of Lonza's operational backbone, contributing to a state-of-the-art SAP S/4HANA environment. You will be at the forefront of data strategy for a global leader in the life sciences industry, impacting how medicines are manufactured and delivered worldwide. The role offers significant career development opportunities within an agile, dynamic, and inclusive workplace that values collaboration, accountability, excellence, passion, and integrity.
- • You will be instrumental in defining the future state of logistics data management at Lonza, ensuring that the Nexus program delivers a robust, scalable, and high-quality data foundation. This includes understanding the intricate relationships between master data objects and their impact on downstream processes, such as inventory management, transportation, and order fulfillment. Your architectural vision will guide the development of reusable data components and patterns that can be applied across various logistics scenarios.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of training materials and knowledge transfer initiatives to ensure that business users and IT teams are equipped to manage and utilize the master data effectively post-implementation. Your expertise will help embed a culture of data stewardship throughout the organization, promoting data ownership and accountability at all levels.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a forward-thinking mindset, anticipating future data needs and trends within the logistics and supply chain domain, and proactively incorporating these into the architectural roadmap. This includes staying abreast of SAP's evolving data capabilities and best practices, particularly within S/4HANA and related modules like EWM and MDG.
