📋 Description

• • The Data Integrity Specialist at BMC Software, Inc. is responsible for maintaining the integrity of patient health records within the Epic electronic health record system by identifying, investigating, and correcting data inaccuracies to ensure legal, accurate, and complete records that support patient safety and continuity of care.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include correcting fraudulent chart use, resolving duplicate or fragmented patient records, facilitating emergent wrong registrations via the Contact Move process, coordinating with clinical, financial, and patient access teams, and validating all corrections prior to closure to ensure compliance with BMC policies and service level agreements.
• • The role operates within the Health Information Management (HIM) department as a lead for chart correction processes, serving as an organizational resource for data integrity issues, identity resolution, and Epic system support across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• • The specialist will develop expertise in healthcare data governance, clinical documentation improvement, cross-functional coordination, and process improvement while gaining deep familiarity with Epic systems, HIM operations, and regulatory compliance in a complex healthcare environment.
